Braun Series 9 PRO+ Electric Shaver, Shaving Kit with 5 Pro Shave Elements and ProComfort Head, SmartCare Center

This is Braun’s top of the line electric shaver with all the accoutrements. One can buy a like, barebones model for $100 - $150 cheaper. I’d definitely consider that. The different packages are priced differently, but the shaver is the same. I’ve only used this shaver once on a 3-day beard. Prep the beard, washing the face with soap warm water. Dry the face. Shave. I haven’t tried the beard-prep attachment yet. Depending on usage, I will periodically clean the razor with the large, electrical device. Most of the time, cleaning the razor with just warm / hot water is all that’s needed. This is easily the best electric razor I’ve owned and used. Highly efficient - fewer passes, less time. No skin irritation whatsoever - a first. A definite BBS (baby bottom smooth) shave, on par with Gillette Mach 3 and Fusion razors, and double-edged (DE) razors (Henson + Astra blade). I have good experience with these alternative methods of shaving. The DE takes longer with oils and creams and occasional weepers; the Gillette is the fastest, with the same oils and creams; Braun, other than washing the face, is the simplest, and a close second in terms of efficiency/speed. Surprisingly, all three provide similar BBS shaves. I’ll retain and use all three methods. For 1 - 2 week travel, the Braun will be my main shaver, with Gillette as backup. As for the for daily shaves, the DE and the Braun will share the honors. The Braun head and blades are said to last up to two years - perhaps longer with intermittent use? As a retiree, I now usually shave every two days, sometimes up to four days. Time will tell how well this new Braun will hold up, but in my experience with other Brauns, I expect no issues. Value for money? My Henson Titanium cost $250, Simpson badger / synthetic brushes cost $100+, and creams / soaps, shave oils, alum bars are less costly, but still. Gillette blades are relatively costly, but last six to eight shaves on average. So when all is said and done, while the upfront cost of this Braun is hefty, it’s not outlandishly so. One can use cheap disposable multi blades, but the quality of the shave is noticeably inferior. In short, I’ve chosen my shaving methods. Now, my incremental cost is simply replacing blades, creams, and pre-shave oils, which are infrequent and less costly. Kudos to Braun for this elegant, highly efficient shaver!

This review is for the Model 9599 6 piece kit priced $299.99 U.S. Dollars August 6th 2025. Caution there are many series 9 Braun Shavers at this price point this is really the one to get. I accidently bought and returned a 47XX series, the trimmer that slips up from the back is no where near as good, yes worth $30.00 to $50.00 more over the years to come hmm let's see 50÷7= $7.15 more per year over projected life span per Braun. $321.00 With tax in my area ÷ 7 = so $45.00 per year. Ever 1.5 years replace foil. Buy 3rd party refill for washing eh yeah still less expensive than razor blades and shaving cream. Convenience shave anywhere any time without water etc... = no Brainer 😀 Nice close shave, there is a newer foil in Europe that will get here in time it is supposed to be even better and will cut even closer. This one is equal to my Phillips Norelco rotary 9500 series but alot faster and easier to use no special shaving pattern in circles to observe This is a good purchase for a great shaver. Noise is not an issue, cleaning super easy.weight is not an issue, feels solid in the hand, very quick shave.

A number of reviews of electric shavers consider this the best on the market. It gives me a very close smooth shave with no pulling. I bought it on a pre Prime Day sale and saved about $130. The shaver has 5 foil blades and a head that can move to many vertical positions. Once you fibd your sweet spot it can be locked in place and will only move slightly to follow the contours of your face. This item comes with a 6 in 1 unit that will charge, clean, and condition the razor. A liquid cleaner, etc. cartridge fits into that unit. This item comes with one. that Braun says can last 2 to 3 months - I'm not there yet so I can't tell. The charging cord will work with the razor directly as well as the two items mentioned below This item also came with a travel charging case, It is solid and can charged to give you about an hours worth of recharge. It is large, My only complaint is with the long hair trimmer that most electric razors have built into them. It is not fully inside when not in use and the edges of the blade stick out slightly. It will not hurt you but can be a bit annoying. It would seem to me to be a wonky design decision.

this is by far the best razer foil, I've held with these hands. its easy to use, smooth to touch the face. remove the hair really well, its very close shave. I cannot complain. I had foils in the past and when you touch your face, you feel the hair but this feel close to a razor. I honestly didn't know this was possible till now. I did go a little extreme and went with the 9599cc, for my first premium but I assume, might as well go for the best in their model. and its not too heavy the problem I had, that I liked it too much and fathers day was coming so I had no choice but to buy the same razor for my dad, luckily I bought it when it was on sale. but this is by far the best top tier razor

After using Panasonic razors for years, I decided to give the Braun Series 9 Pro Plus a try, as my old Panasonic just wasn't cutting it anymore (no pun intended!). With my thick beard, I had always needed to follow up my electric shave with a blade razor to get a close shave, but with this Braun razor, I no longer need to do that. The Series 9 Pro Plus does an amazing job on its own, providing a much closer shave than any of my previous Panasonics, including the Arc 5 model. Honestly, I wish I had found this razor sooner! It’s such a superior experience, and I’m no longer dependent on a blade razor. One of the features I’m most impressed by is the silicone head that you place on the razor before shaving. While I’m not entirely sure how it works, it definitely helps lift the hairs for an incredibly close shave. The only small downside is the instructions—they use pictures rather than written instructions, which I found a little confusing. But that’s a minor issue in the grand scheme of things. All in all, this razor deserves five stars for performance and comfort. If you’re looking for a high-quality electric razor that delivers a close shave without the hassle of blade shaving, this is it!

After owning and using the Braun Series 9 PRO+ for one year, here is what you need to know. Original purchase. December 3, 2024 The original shaver head kept quitting after a few minutes of use. Numerous days this shaver left me with a less than adequate shave. I heard the shaver head is often to blame, so I replaced the original with an after-market. June 17, 2025 The original shaver head screen broke. So I had to order another one. I bought aftermarket. It broke so I had to order another. August 17, 2025 I bought 2 aftermarket ones this time. The screens broke on both shaver heads. September 27, 2025 The shaver head screen broke. September 29, 2025 The shaver head kept quitting after about 7-9 minutes of use. I had included a few pictures of stopwatch timer showing how long it would operate. I would rinse the shaver head under cold water, then try to continue shaving. It would operate for about 1 minute and quit again. After rinsing the shaver head under cold water a second time, it would operate for about 30 seconds and quit again. The shaver was cleaned in the Braun cleaning solution in the charger/cleaner base every day. The Braun Series 9 PRO+ has been the most UNRELIABLE shaver I have ever owned. If it would continue running, the shave quality would be very good. As for cleaning, the video shows the cleaner solution being sprayed out the top. Those cleaner solution containers don’t last very long like this.

Great shaver, stupid extras — and priced like it shaves gold. The Braun Series 9 PRO+ gives a close, comfortable shave and is built to last. The cleaning station is useful and time-saving — I use it daily and love the convenience. But the so-called ProComfort head? Useless marketing gimmick. The “premium” charging travel case? Another waste. Between those two throw-ins, this bundle feels padded for price, not value. Compared to my old Series 8, it’s not quite as silky-smooth, maybe because of daily cleaning cycles. Still, it beats my Panasonic ARC5, which was too harsh and uneven. At $300, it’s a very good shaver buried in a pricey bundle.

I seriously love this product, it’s my first shaver, and I love the quality it feels luxurious and it does a fair job at getting hair off I would buy a separate shaver for lining but other than that it fits perfectly , the hair removal is okay and has good durability.

Al principio tenía muchas dudas sobre esta máquina sobre todo por el precio tan alto, sin embargo me devoré varios videos en YouTube y de entre todas las máquinas al parecer esta era la mejor. A mi me gusta andar siempre rapado así que le doy bastante uso a mis máquinas pero me irritan demasiado y definitivamente para mí no es opción pasarme rastrillo porque se me entierran demasiado los cabellos y cuando comienzan a crecer parezco pollo recién desplumado así lleno de granitos y se ve fatal!! Con esta máquina es todo lo contrario, te deja suuuuper liso el cuero cabelludo!! Cuando te pasas la mano después de usarla pareciera que te pasaste rastrillo pero no se te encajan los cabellos. Eso sí, debo pasarme la máquina cada 3 días para obtener ese acabado liso que tanto me gusta!! En pocas palabras es casi perfecta!! Y digo casi porque si me dejo crecer el cabello, por ejemplo, una semana y media, le va a costar mucho más recortar el cabello, osea, si lo recorta pero si yo normalmente me doy 3 o 4 pasadas, con el cabello crecido tendría que darle el doble para dejar el acabado liso y pues a veces no me da tiempo de pasarme cada 3 días la máquina. En resumen, esta máquina es bastante costosa pero si te gusta tener la piel lisa y suave sin irritación definitivamente vale la pena!! 🤙🏻
