Excellent device for everyday use! The screen is a great size with good image quality and clear sound. Alexa responds quickly and makes tasks like controlling smart home devices, checking recipes, watching videos, and making video calls much easier. Setup is simple and the interface is very user-friendly. Great for the kitchen, bedroom, or living room. Operates exactly as described and a useful addition to an Alexa system

My first Show device. Good picture and sound quality. Ideal as stand alone or integrated into home management security and entertainment system. Not yet scratched the surface of its capability but a nice handy size clock, picture frame, infotainment centre and general Alexa product.

Sound is nice and full at moderate to loud volumes but (as with most speakers except Bose) becomes quite thin as low volumes. Not a major criticism as generally expected and does fill a room when louder. Why did I buy this? I am working with Echo multi-speaker to try and give me a Sonos-like function. I gave connected Echo Dots to stereo amps and power amps as well as an Echo Plus and this Echo Show. It is brilliant to have the same music playing in 4 rooms, my workshop and BBQ area! Plus the Show displays the album artwork. I’m probably not really using its main function of a GUI and display but so far it’s a nice addition to my hone setup. The screen is nice but the touch controls are not quite as sophisticated as an iPad. For the price it’s very good.

Great Product.

I’ve been using the Amazon Echo Show for a little while now, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite smart devices. The screen really adds a new layer of convenience compared to a regular Echo speaker — I can watch recipe videos while cooking, check the weather at a glance, make video calls, and even use it as a digital photo frame when it’s idle. The sound quality is surprisingly good for its size, and the display is bright and sharp. Alexa is responsive, and I like that I can control my smart home devices with both voice commands and the touch screen. One of my favorite features is the video calling—it feels more personal than a phone call, and the auto-framing camera keeps me in view. I also enjoy streaming music and even shows while I’m doing chores. If I had to point out one downside, it’s that the screen can feel a little too bright at night unless you adjust the settings. Also, if you’re privacy-conscious, you’ll want to use the camera shutter when it’s not in use. Overall, the Echo Show is a well-rounded device that makes daily tasks easier and more enjoyable. It’s a great choice if you want a smart speaker with the bonus of a display.

I love this Alexa, it is many things all rolled into one. It's clear, auto moving, the volume is good, it's an all round positive.

I purchased two Amazon Echo Show 8 devices in 2024 specifically to integrate with my Ring cameras, expecting a seamless smart home experience. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case. From the beginning, the setup process was far from straightforward. Even after getting everything connected, the performance was poor. There were consistent delays in both video and audio feeds. When someone rang the doorbell, the delay of 15–20 seconds made real-time conversation impossible. On top of that, the audio quality was often unclear, which defeated the purpose of using it as a communication device. About 6–7 months ago, things got worse. Both devices stopped connecting to the Alexa app entirely. I attempted multiple troubleshooting steps, including factory resets, but nothing worked. Eventually, the devices wouldn’t even reconnect to Wi-Fi, rendering them completely unusable. I contacted Amazon customer service, who redirected me to the Echo support team. Despite going through more troubleshooting steps with them, including additional reset attempts, the issue remained unresolved. What was most frustrating is that they refused to offer further assistance because the devices were just outside the one-year warranty period. This is particularly disappointing because my Amazon order summary indicates I have a two-year product support period. However, the Echo support team showed no interest in honouring that or investigating further. Instead, I was offered a 15% discount on a future purchase, which does nothing to resolve the fact that both of my devices have failed at the same time. To make matters worse, the Echo customer service experience was extremely poor. The representative I spoke with was rude and ultimately hung up on me during the call. As a long-time Amazon Prime customer who spends thousands of pounds each year, I found this behaviour completely unacceptable. Both devices developing the same fault simultaneously raises serious concerns about product reliability. Combined with the lack of meaningful support and the dismissive attitude from the Echo customer service team, this has been a very disappointing experience. Conclusion: The Echo Show 8 failed to deliver on both performance and reliability, and the customer support experience made things significantly worse. I would not recommend this product based on my experience.

No problem at all. My wife is very happy with it. Especially when connected with ring doorbell.

Would highly recommend to anyone who loves tech perfect size for bedroom and definitely a helpful gadget

Had previously owned an echo. But the Echo 8 totally exceeds it. Great sound. I use it for recipes, very convenient to be able to see ingredients and instructions on the screen. Would definitely recommend.
