This heat cap is a Really nice cosy fit the material is strong and soft on the head. The instructions says 40 seconds to heat in the microwave which I think is sensible however wasn’t hot enough for me. I heated mine for 2 mins just be careful when putting the bonnet on as it can get HOT!!!. Make sure you massage all areas of the bonnet especially the middle for good heat distribution. The edges get hotter first. I would say heat in stages I liked my warmer than instructed which worked perfectly for my conditioning treatments. I loved the fact that I could walk around the house and do my chores without being restricted by a plug in bonnet. Definitely worth purchasing if you want a luxurious pampering spa 🧖🏾‍♀️ experience for your hair. My hair came out moisturised and beautifully conditioned. As some of us move towards and embrace natural methods of looking after ourselves I believe we also begin to embrace notions of how we can be more environmentally responsible - not using up resources such as the prolonged use of electricity. Of course, the process of manufacturing any product uses up resources, but this cap for example, once made, can be re-used and re-used following the brief blast of microwave heat - or soaking in hot water - as opposed to the constant heat from an hair dryer, etc, for long periods. Despite a few negative reviews about the sizing and weight of this cap, I have found it to be a really good fit, certainly not too tight or heavy, and to retain heat for between one and a half to two hours. I prepare it by placing it in the microwave in 30 minute intervals for two minutes in total. After each 30 minute blast I take it out of the microwave and gently distribute the gel within the pockets of the cap - wearing thick rubber gloves, because of course the contents is hot - (use a thick towel instead of the gloves if prefered to distribute the gel). I use the cap by applying my conditioner of choice to my hair; then covering my hair with a thin plastic cap followed by this heat cap, and get on with things for the next two hours. (I then rinse my hair with lukewarm water, then cold Rice Water, and apply a natural oil sealant - Coconut Oil - to retain moisture). I would have given a five star review for this order, but chose not to because the supplier of this particularly cap also offered a head massager as part of the purchase, which has not been received despite my requesting it. The product itself is excellent.

I’ve used the cap once since I bought it and it was really easy to use. All you do is literally microwave it for a few seconds then place it over your head. It is a bit heavy because of the gel they use, but if you don’t plan to do household chores with it on your head it’s totally fine! I had been looking for a deep conditioning cap for a while and was happy when I found this. The price is super affordable and it made my hair feel super soft with the deep conditioner I normally use. I would definitely recommend this, especially for anyone with curly hair!

This heat cap works well for my wife’s low porosity 4c hair and hair deep conditioning works really well with this product being used together it seems well made out of good quality materials and seems made to last too its quite heavy but my wife says it doesn’t feel to bad when on her head so that’s good it does take a lot longer to warm up than the instructions state though quite a lot longer to be honest and it doesn’t hold heat long unfortunately after 10 minutes its lost 60-70 precent of its heat which can be quite annoying because my wife has to reheat hers half way through so its a 50/50 type product It does leave my wife’s hair feeling soft and moisturiserized pretty good though so its got pros and cons shop around a bit before committing to this one i would say

I’ve used my heat cap three times now. As several reviews mentioned it was fairly snug on first use, and it did leave me with a slight headache. However I’ve found it stretches to become more comfortable. I have shoulder length hair and it was easy to fit under the cap. It maybe a little more difficult for someone with waist length hair. After reading the reviews I microwaved my cap for 2 minutes, took it out and, as suggested, massaged it to ensure the heat was distributed throughout the whole cap, microwaving again for a further minute (I guess this depends on the wattage of individual microwaves) and I like it quite hot. The heat lasted around 20-30 minutes. It’s more convenient than a plug in appliance as I managed to run to the shops whilst I had it in (albeit under a hat lol). I’m very happy with it as I’m able to leave it on for as long as I want whilst getting on with other things.

I dislike this product because my shower is far away from my microwave and the product loses heat between the two areas. It’s made to help conditioner penetrate into your hair further so this means i am in the middle of having a shower so am wet whilst I run down to the microwave, shivering whilst I wait for it to heat up and then can’t get the temperature right on the cap, not warm enough at first and then scorching!! I also nearly went arse over tit going through my living room which is laminated on the way there AND on the way back. Not the caps fault directly but not for it, I wouldn’t have had to leave my shower to go to my kitchen. Works the same if not better is clingfilm round my hair, then foil and then a woolly hat. I can see wha they are trying to do and I do believe they are decent people, the leaflet that came with the cap about hair care showed deep understanding about hair nourishment and also a keenness to genuinely help people with their hair silkiness.

Overall I like this product a lot. It's quite big though I'd imagine that's facilitate people with long, thick hair. My one and only real gripe is the amount of disposable caps you get with the product. Should be at least 5 in my opinion. If you do get this product you will have to purchase your own "cheap as chips" shower caps once the two you're given are gone. Also, do NOT listen to the microwave timings printed in the instructions. It takes at least a minute depending on the wattage of your microwave. Once you suss out the above the product itself is fantastic. Really does leave your hair feeling softer and well conditioned. I mix a few drops of pure argan oil in with the conditioner before applying and leave it for about 45 minutes. Used it twice now. Looking forward to the next time I use it with the new argan conditioning mask I've just ordered.

I found the cap to work really well with my conditioning mask. The heat definitely helped the treatments work much better and results more noticeable. Really helped improve the condition of my hair and would recommend for these reasons. Down sides for me are that I found the weight made my neck ache slightly after a short time and also found the elasticated band irritated the skin on my forehead from digging in. Maybe needs something soft on the inside of the elastic to stop this. For both these reasons I found couldn’t wear for as long as I would of liked. This said I definitely noticed a difference in the time I was able to wear the cap.

Ich habe Afro Haare Typ 4a/b/c und ich habe es gekauft für meine Kuren (Öl und Conditioner). ich wollte eine Wärmehaube haben, mit der ich rumlaufen kann, um noch Sachen zu erledigen. Erstmal hatte ich es in die Mikrowelle getan für 15 sec ohne zu wissen,dass meine auf 1000W war. Es hat leider nichts gebracht und ich habe es für 2 min drin gelassen. Leider wurde es zu warm an der Stelle auf der Kopfhaut, wo eine Berührung zustande kam. Für 1,5 min und 1000W finde ich es ideal und es spendet für ca. 15 min die nötige Wärme. Es ist dennoch nicht zu vergleichen mit einer Wärmehaube, die Strom benötigt, weil die Wärme mit der Zeit abnimmt. P.S. ich hoffe nur, dass es ok ist bei 1000W 😁 Mein Youtube Kanal heißt: Blaq Rose

Cap is as it’s shown and keeps heat very well. Little bit on heavy side (which is not the issue), just elastic pushes into back of the ears if ears out or kind of tight on ears if put over. But I held it for a full hour so that explains why. :-) Overall serves the purpose!
