Is there an alternative way to heat this, as I don’t own a microwave?

Place outside of cap upside down in a bowl of very warm (not hot) water.

Do you have to use disposable caps underneath? Can you not just use any regular shower cap? Doesnt seem good for the environment throwing out plastic

All l can tell you is l have 6 strong plastic shower caps which l use. So every time l use the deep conditioning heat cap l put one of my plastic shower caps on and when finished carefully rise out leave to dry naturally and then use again next time until the elastic has gone. Not had to throw anything away yet. Up to you what you do.

What is the gel made out of is it not going to be realising some chem?

Not sure but I think it says some clay?

It is true there are three disposable shower caps included in the box. These are one use plastic caps and will stop any hair products staining your heat cap. They are folded up very small but open to full size . Did I mention this heat cap is really good - I recommend this product.
