Works on my fair skin, and same color shade as my natural freckles.
It is gradual, but even first application added color. Subsequent applications are a bit darker each time. I am very satisfied. While not the reason I purchased this product, I have been applying (with a fine tip brush) to my eyebrows in areas where I no longer have them, and am pleased with the subtle fill-in effect!

SAVE YOUR MONEY
This stuff is worthless. Save your money for sure. Buy a 99 cent bottle of iodine or mercurecrom. It is clear so you have no clue where and how much you are applying. It takes hours and hours to show and sign you applied anything. By then , if you got some where you didn't want to it is too late. The applicator is lame so used the tip of my finger. Even after immediately washing with soap and a little bleach my finger tip turned a nice orange color. The spots I treated looked much the same except for the adjacent skin was darker making the white spot even more noticeable.

Vitiligo stain/coverup
When I first used this product it seemed like it didn't work. Be patient. It is NOT an immediate reaction to ones skin. I have vitiligo and that's why I use it. You have to master the use of the wand/applicator, it is not hard. You must put a few coats on to see the colour on your skin, again, be patient. Its a good thing it is a bit progressive, that way one doesn't OVER colour themselves. I have now achieved a perfect blend to my skin(face). I have not used it anywhere else, just my face. My face vitiligo only bothers me. I have used from high end very expensive make up down to the cheap stuff, and for me it is a very trying experience, especially due to sweating, I still buy the waterproof(HA! yeah right)colour stay stuff. A helpful makeup tip...buy a few colours(I use liquid...I hate powder) and mix up a few very small batches of colour and do test areas. I am Caucasian and tan at the hint of sunlight. I have no idea for other skin colours/tones. Hopes this helps. Currently I am able to use just the chromelin without foundation/coverup...luck!

Not that it once was.
Used the product for one year, worked very well. last purchase used the entire bottle . It was like water. Even tested it on my arm every day, no results. product quality not consistent. too bad it could be a good product.

Works well enough.
The directions that come with this item to apply it need updating, very poor and sketchy. Through trial and error I found that if you use the bottles applicator and dab a small amount of the liquid on the affected area, and then use the application stick that comes with it (a white tipped stick) to 'paint' the liquid around the affected areas you get a better result. This item won't hide the blemishes completely, but it will lessen them so they're not so noticeable. Be careful though, because the liquid is clear, if you apply too much the liquid will run/drip, with out being seen, and you'll have run stains. But all-in-all I'm pretty happy with the results I got.

Chromelin is not near as good as DY-O-DERM was!
This item gets the job done but with it being clear instead of the (green) color that DY-O-DERM made makes it hard to know what spots you've applied it to! Also it takes a few hours for it to blend, the DY-O-DERM colored as soon as it was applied! Also the costs is outrageous! A 4 fluid oz. bottle of DY-O-DERM did cost anywhere from $19-$27 a bottle! A 1 fluid oz. bottle of the Chromelin is $29-$38. It's not near the product that DY-O-DERM was! They need to bring that product back on the market!

Game changer for me!
I've suffered from Vitiligo for over 20 years and have tried every coverup product under the sun - including microskin, concealers and instant bronzers. This product has been a game changer for me! I look in the mirror and see my eyes now - not the weird configurations of my white spots. Although the shade is not a perfect match - it makes my spots 80% less noticeable and it doesn't wash off or rub onto my clothes or itch or cause a rash! This was a complete game changer for me. I'm buying it directly from the company now - and it came with a new applicator option which allows for more precise placement. I love this stuff!

The product just sucks.
I bought this for my mom, she has Vitiligo. It did not work for her. First off, it is a tiny, tiny bottle. About the size of those miniature liquor bottles. The product was leaking when I received it and half of it was gone. She put it on for about a month and no change. The product also smells. It's like a combination of rubbing alcohol and ammonia (wouldn't be surprised if it was). Its a clear substance so my mom was confused. But the product just sucks.
