Short Review: SSD Enclosure This SSD enclosure is compact, easy to use, and works right out of the box. It provides fast data transfer speeds, keeps the drive well-protected, and stays cool during use. Installation is quick with no tools needed. A great option for turning an SSD into a portable and reliable external drive.

Some of the negative reviews complain that it's plastic, which is what it says right in the description: "Made of fireproof, shockproof ABS material." ABS is a thermoPLASTIC polymer. The side slots are open to allow good air-flow, which helps dissipate heat. What more do you want? The screws fit both my Kingston and Seagate hard drives, so no issue there. The mount fit perfectly in my Dell and my Lenovo desktops, so I imagine that it would fit very well in any standard bay. 5 out of 5.
