They have a black plastic lid. I have used this for Limoncello as well and have had no issues with putting them in the freezer.

I would like a template for creating a label. Does anyone know the dimensions of the widest area of the bottle?

A nice label size labels is 3" tall x 7.75" wide. The 3" tall centers perfectly on the label panel, and 7.75" goes all the way around.

Could you fit cranberries in these to make cranberry vodka?

Yes, you could fit cranberrires into the top of the bottle, but the cranberries may not flow back out depending on how plump they get. I would think it would be easier to make the cranberry vodka in a larger separate glass container and then funnel into these bottles.
