J.R. Watkins Moisturizing Hand Cream, Coconut, 3.3oz (Pack of 3)

This hand cream is perfect for carrying in my purse when I'm on the go. It smells so light and fresh, and moisturizes my hands when they are feeling rough and dry. I am so glad that I decided to give this a try. I would buy it again for sure.

I have really dry skin, partly because I take a chemo med for autoimmune issues that really dehydrated me no matter how much water I drink. Other lotions I bought were either too greasy and just sat on the surface of my skin OR simply weren’t hydrating enough. But this hand cream is my absolute favorite now. It is super moisturizing, but is also fully absorbed by my skin very quickly. It’s honestly impressive. There was a nearly immediate, extremely noticeable difference in the condition of my skin after I started using this. This lotion even seemed to solve a related issue I was having where my dead skin cells just refused to be shed, no matter how much I scrubbed in the shower or how much of my normal body lotion I applied. Sorry if it’s TMI, but literally minutes after applying this for the first time on my arms, I was able to basically just wipe off that dead layer of my skin, revealing much softer and more supple skin underneath. This is an issue that has been plaguing me for over a year that was seemingly solved in one day. Additionally, I find that the scent is very pleasant. It weirdly reminds me of Froot Loops at first, but in the best way possible. It’s just got that nice citrus-forward, sweet fragrance, and as it dries down the scent gets mellower and more creamy as the lemon settles into the background. It’s definitely got a gourmand scent imo, but it’s not cloyingly sweet or artificial. It just genuinely smells like madeleines with lemon curd or something. I think the Shea butter is largely responsible for the creamy, vanilla-like scent that develops after a couple minutes. It’s very nice, I find myself smelling my hands for like an hour after I apply it because it’s just so delicious! It doesn’t have a strong throw at all once absorbed, the scent fades to only be detectable if someone is inches from your skin, so it hopefully shouldn’t annoy people around you unless they are severely intolerant to fragrance.

This is the first time buying this brand or scent. Instant love. I'm actually pretty sensitive to perfumes, but this particular scent is a soft, gentle lemon. My husband was hugging me and said "mmm what's that?" "Oh just some new lemon hand creme".."mmmm lemon good!". So it passed the husband's test! I love the scent,nbut quality of this creme is exceptional. Shea butter makes this creamy and smooth I have very dry skin cause i live in the desert. Non greasy. I like the thick texture, but the coconut scent smells like a little like the pink soap you find in a public restroom. I was waffling between the coconut and the lemon after reading many positive reviews - now I wish I'd made a different choice. Hands are nice and soft, albeit a bit stinky.

Nice hydration, nice coconut smell, not overwhelming.

I wanted a lotion that I felt good about putting on my skin. I try to stay away from chemicals and feel safe with this lotion! Immediately it makes my hands feel soft and smells amazing

J.R. Watkins Shea Butter Hand Cream ingredients looked good. It contains lots of oils and is free of cytotoxic preservatives. I have the Lemon Cream scent, which smells like a lemon cream pie or pudding. It is cloying and offends my sensitive nose, even though I usually like citrus. The scent is sweet, heavy, and it lingers on the hands. There are plenty of emollients listed in the ingredients, but this cream is more waxy than emollient. I like shea butter, but it is the second ingredient here, after water, which is too much of a good thing. There isn't any evidence of all of those oils on the skin; the shea butter takes over. The texture of the cream is not greasy, but it is waxy and it's just not moisturizing. It's like putting shea butter, which is an occlusive, on your skin without doing anything to nourish the skin first. The lotion is dry and the smell is unpleasant. It doesn't do anything for my skin, sorry to say. This stuff is amazing, works, and feels good. Also the smell is heavenly.

Bought this after reading the reviews but it did not live upto the hype. The cream smells amazing...like lemon soufflé, but it did not moisturise my hands at all. Did not find it value for money at all.

Beautiful product. I first bought this on a trip to the states and fell in love with it. I was so pleased to find it available here! It's a rich hand cream which moisturises really well without being greasy. The best thing about it is the scent...leaves your hands smelling like lemon meringue pie! Gorgeous.
