I would like to know the source of the K2 MK-4. Is it from dairy products or from animal source like eggs, meat etc?

Any and all predicts that claim to be vegan and mk4 are SYNTHETIC. Derived from geraniol extract which is synthetic. The ONLY sources for NATURAL mk4 are from ANIMAL products.

Also, please note that this product is completely FALSE in the amounts listed. Consumer labs, a totally independent testing lab found that this product contains only 13,209 mcg, or 88.1% of the claimed potency.

I'm TICKED. I've been buying this for years and feel completely ripped off by falsified claims from the manufacturer!

Lots of guesswork, misinformation, and bloviating in some of the old answers to this old question.
The (probably updated) product description says "derived from orange jasmin (Murraya paniculata), leaf geraniol extract".  Sounds good, but "derived" is ambiguous.  K2 MK4 has an exact chemical formula and structure, so, other than Isomers, synthetic is exactly the same as natural. The product text also says "The MK-4 in this product is 99% Trans suggests this is of natural origin and, if not, it is still bio-identical.
No, all MK4 is NOT synthetic.  It's the animal version of K2.  Animals make it from K1 if they are eating the way they are designed to. Since most humans don't eat that way, we need to supplement. 
The always synthetic version is MK0, also known as K3 or menadione. It's not especially good for you.  It is not allowed in the USA for human supplements.

I'm sensitve to mcc.  the old formula was good.  why was it changed?

This material required a filler to run on the encapsulation machinery. Because of the (groundless) witch-hunt against magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide, I reformulated to remove those materials. MCC was the alternative.

What is the source of the magnesium stearate?

I think that is a question you would need to ask the manufacturer. Yet, there is another brand of K2 Menatetrenone that does not contain magnesium stearate.  It is called Complementary Prescriptions - Ultra K2 15 mg. The capsules are smaller, and it is a bit more expensive. Yet, magnesium stearate is not in it.
