Redragon K668 108-Key Hot-Swap Wired RGB Gaming Keyboard, Extra 4 Hotkeys

I got this on a big sale, like half off cyber day or something, and it’s been a really great value. I’ve been missing mechanical keyboards for decades lol and as soon as I had a lot of typing to do, I was like oh now’s my excuse hehe. This one didn’t disappoint, even tho i wasn’t even sure what kind exactly I ought to get, since it’s been so long since I’ve used any! Did a little research, got the red switches, cos I don’t want it TOO loud or clacky, I type very fast, don’t need to press down hard all the way with each stroke, so this one sounded right. Well it’s great! I type much more accurately again, now that I’m using a proper keyboard and not those bs flat macbook integrated key pads lol. This is a dream by comparison. I like that it lights up and I can change the style or turn that off. And it comes with extra switches and keys too! So this should last me forever. I got a mouse from the same company that goes with it well too. I like the colors too, and I’m VERY particular about subtleties in color combinations as an artist haha. It’s got a nice retro, kinda gamey look, which as a millennial I’m a sucker for. Tho I don’t actually game so I can’t comment on that for this, at least not since the 90s when I was playing Super Nintendo with my brothers! I had a bit of issue with the mouse I received, and the company reached out right away to refund or replace! So service seems to match the quality of product. I’ll def look to them next time I need any other devices in this category. I did also get a wrist rest to go with it, i think that is extra needed for these kinds of keyboards, since they’re raised a bit more than those flat membrane style ones. Don’t want to get chronic wrist or finger joint issues, that can also cause or worsen arthritis (my uncle just had surgery for exactly this) so I def recommend getting ones for mouse and keyboard that feel right for you. So nice when you finally get a great quality product again, for once! (I waited like almost a year before I wrote this, just to be sure. Nothing more unhelpful than premature reviews lol).

My old wireless keyboard died so I figured it was time to get a new one and I decided to go with a wired one this time. The reviews seemed good on this keyboard and the price wasn't outlandish so I figured I'd give it a shot. The first thing that sticks out is the weight. It's sturdy and feels very well built, not like a cheap Chinese knock-off. The plastic all feels quality and the keys are smooth pressing motion. It's going to take me a bit of getting used to using a mechanical keyboard again after using a membrane keyboard for so many years, but I do like the clicking sound. Next you will notice this company does not cheap out on customer satisfaction. I bought this keyboard expecting only a keyboard. Instead I found a complete second set of keys, extra pieces to replace the mechanical part underneath the key, and a key puller tool as well. Completely unexpected but something that will automatically endear this companies customers to them. Lastly, the keyboard functionality itself. It is RGB and if you like having an RGB setup then you'll love the look of the white keyboard with the colors underneath. There is a button native on the keyboard itself that lets you change the RGB preset as well. I haven't fully counted but there seems to be around 10 presets with everything from colors slowly moving across the keyboard to zig-zagging back and forth, and if you don't like RGB there's an option to turn it off as well. The last nice bit is that in the very top right above the num-lock button row there are 4 additional keys: Mute on/off, a calculator button that pulls up your calculator app, a screenlock button that works the same was as pushing win+L, and a homescreen button that will minimize all of your windows and take you back to your desktop. The keyboard is nice and spacious and feels great to use so far. Especially for the price, this is the keyboard to get imo.

I will start by saying that I've used Red Dragon stuff before. Years and years ago I had one of their membrane keyboards and one of their gaming mice. They performed flawlessly in all the time I owned them but I eventually changed color scheme and wanted to branch out so I tried a different brand keyboard and a Corsair mouse. I don't recall the other brand keyboard, but it had an aluminum body and was fairly nice. Over the years though I was constantly swapping switches out and then the LEDs started to die off, and it just reached the end of its life cycle really. I came back to Red Dragon because I wanted a nice mechanical keyboard but I think the boards that cost $100+ are, frankly, silly. I did debate between this keyboard and some of the other "off brand" boards but this one had great reviews and I love love love the kind of old school style to it. I am so glad I went with this keyboard. The design is freaking gorgeous. It's like a retromod done to an old IBM keyboard. The lights are certainly pretty, but I'm a basic fella so I already switched them over to solid white. They look great, and the light shines through the keycaps perfectly. There is also a sleek little light bar on the side of the board that I didn't notice in the pictures but looks super classy. Speaking of keycaps, THEY GIVE YOU AN ENTIRE SET! So if you don't like the color scheme that it comes with (as pictured) you can feel free to swap them out. They also give you some new switches for when these ones start dying off, I believe they give 8 of them, along with the tool to swap the switch and the keycap. On to the switches... Ohhhhhhhhh, boy they are GOOD. I cannot speak to longevity yet, and I will update when the first switch dies and I have to replace it, but initial impressions are so good it is unreal what this board costs. The feel is excellent, but the sound is where it's really at. A nice, somewhat loud but muted thunk with each press. The board itself is all plastic, but don't let that dissuade you, because it feels like a very high quality plastic. I think this board actually weighs more than the board it is replacing with the aluminum body, and they're both the same style board. The legs are double adjustable and move into place with a loud click. Honestly so far, I am absolutely blown away by this board. I hope it lasts a long, long time because I do not want to get rid of it any time soon.

I picked up the Redragon K668 because I wanted a mechanical keyboard that wouldn't cost a fortune, and I'm glad I did. For the price, it's honestly hard to complain. The keys feel nice to type on, everything responds quickly, and it has a solid, sturdy feel that makes it seem more expensive than it is. The RGB lighting is a nice bonus. I wasn't expecting to care much about it, but it actually looks really good on my desk, and changing the effects is simple. I've used it for both gaming and regular work, and it's been comfortable for long sessions without any issues. Overall, I think this keyboard offers excellent value. If you're on a budget but still want something that feels well made and performs well, this is definitely worth considering. I'm happy with it, it does feel plasticky but not cheap, also loved bigger keyboards, this being 108 keys is very complete. The color scheme is <3 and it is wired so you dont have to worry about battery life. In the pictures you'll see the comparison to the K686 with 10 keys less, and the video you'll see a cool colored effect!

First I want to say that I got the Gemini Eclipse Option. So this is for that specific out of the box keyboard I got. Sometimes there are reviews that are different options all in one spot. I will also say that I got this on sale at 32 dollars, so I am reviewing it at the mindset of that price. With all that being said I really like this keyboard. I use it wired for home gaming pc, and plan to have my office set up around the monitor set up and be able to easily swap between main pc, and work laptop. I have many keyboards, and admittedly paid way to much for some in the past, so I was hesitant to just wing it. So far, so good I would say and extremely happy. I did not download the software for the keyboard, and I realllllllllyyyyyy like that I can just plug it in, and have it usable as a keyboard without having to download all the bloated software that other companies have you download. It doesn't even try to prompt you or anything, I love it. The keyboard feels amazing. It has very solid typing, and its quite. It does not have that switch mechanical feel, but you it looks like you can change those out if you want to switch it up. The keys are slightly slimer, but as someone with slightly bigger hands, it still feels fine to type with and not congested, but I think that is also something you can swap out too if you wanted something different, its just this out of the box keyboard. I like that they utilized the space in the top right for the additional media keys and moved the traditional caps lock , and other locks, panel to the middle of the keyboard. It's easier to see, and it gives more function to the keyboard itself. There are also still the traditional function combos, but I am a simpleton/lazy, and like only having to push 1 button for certain things I use a lot. I haven't tried the Bluetooth or 2.4 dongle too much yet, so I can't give proper feedback on how they work, but will update. This thing a little weight to it, which makes me feel like it's more durable, strong, and not cheaply made. If I had something to cover they keys, I could see this being a good portable keyboard, but I don't plan on using this portably. What really got me get on here and write a review though was what it came with, again, I am speaking specifically to Gemini Eclipse Option. It came with the cord for the keyboard(usb-c to usb), A key removing device, a cool well made set of stickers(when I say well made I mean like old school thicker almost vinyly feel and thickness), and my biggest surprise, because I didn't the full title, a whole set of other keys! Pleasant surprise right. The second color set that I received, didn't have the option to pick(okay with me), are blue keys in the middle and white keys on the outside. Its basically the inverse color of this pattern, but replacing the pink, or w.e. the color is, the spacebar and ESC key, with the regular blue. I thought that was a pretty cool thing to do to allow you to start customizing off the start, and would help people, or kids, into learning how to customize keyboards out of the box. I did get this keyboard on sale at $32 which was around the price point of similar keyboards, which I went back to check, didn't come with a second set of keys. Overall, super happy with the keyboard, I have it survives the test of time, and doesn't fall victim to my inability to not spill my drink. Thank you for the great product!

For much too long I had been using the cheap flat keyboards that came with my last two (yes, 2) PCs. After almost a year of frustration with the latest HP keyboard, which lacked certain keys I used frequently and had keys I never used, not to mention the microscopic function keys, I started shopping. What I really wanted was a good solid keyboard like I had with my first three desktop computers. This one delivers and then some. It never occurred to me to get a keyboard that also puts on a light show! Several similar keyboards popped up in my browsing, but the look of this one stood out to me. Maybe it was the terracotta space bar. So I ordered it. I couldn't be happier! The keys have a nice solid feel to them and they bounce back without sticking. They're not quite as close together as the cheap-o keyboards had them so I'm making fewer typos. In addition to the classic 104 key configuration, there are an extra four keys that can do whatever you want. It took me a couple weeks to find the software to make them do that, though. The microscopic manual was no help in this regard. It mostly dealt with lighting effects, if you can read it at all. I needed a magnifying glass in addition to my reading glasses. Anyway, I poked through the Redragon website and waded through a few pages of models to find software for mine and I was in business. (I had previously done a search for this model number's software and it came up with no results.) That was the only challenge I had with this product. Once the software was installed I had my custom keys set just the way I wanted them in a few minutes. Speaking of keys, this keyboard has two complete sets. I'm torn as it whether this is useful or wasteful. I guess two things can be true at the same time. You can make all of them white (except the space bar) or all of them black (including the spacebar) or any combination thereof. A tool is provided to pop them out as needed. Just one caveat here. The second set of keys do not have the secondary function icons printed on them as the first set has. That might be a problem for some folks. Of course, I love the colorful backlighting! I prefer the two steady-state modes, one a rainbow effect and the other has random colors for each key. Or you can choose one of several colors for a uniform look. To change the color pattern press the FN key followed by INS to toggle amongst the different motion effects. Or you can press FN>DEL and change the color of the effect you're currently on. Press FN and either the up or down arrow keys to adjust the brightness. Similarly, FN with the left or right arrow keys controls the speed of the motion effects. I wish the slowest speed was a lot slower to keep the motion from confusing my eyeballs while I type. If you don't want the keys to be backlit, you can always turn them off completely by pressing FN>Spacebar, or turn them back on again the same way. The white keys are just as easy to read with the lights on or off. The black keys are less clear when dark, but still readable. Fun, functional, and solid construction make this the best keyboard I've ever had.

I'm an old-school guy, and I prefer typing on an old-school, mechanical keyboard rather than the flat, laptop-style keyboards so prevalent these days. I spend most of my workday typing, and the mechanical keyboard is much more comfortable for me. This is a very nice keyboard at a very reasonable price. It feels good under the fingers, and for a mechanical keyboard, it's actually not very loud at all. I'm not a gamer, nor do I care about extra media buttons, but I think this keyboard would fit most peoples' needs quite nicely. Now for the caveat: I got this keyboard specifically to use with my work laptop, which is a Dell with only one USB-A port (where the Bluetooth dongle for my mouse lives), but several USB-C ports. So, I searched Amazon for a keyboard with USB-C connectivity. However, when it arrived, I discovered that the cable that came with the keyboard has USB-C on the end that plugs into the keyboard, but USB-A on the end that plugs into the computer. This was not a major crisis for me; I simply ordered a very inexpensive patch cable with USB-A-female on one end, and USB-C on the other (see attached photo), and everything worked perfectly. Really, the only aggravation was having to wait an extra day for the adapter cable to arrive before I could start using the keyboard. In my view, though, when one searches for a USB-C keyboard, it's not unreasonable to assume that the connectivity is USB-C on both ends, and I think it would be very helpful for the product description to make clear that this isn't the case. Then the purchaser would know that he or she might need some sort of adapter based on what kind of USB ports are available. For all that, I do think it's a very good keyboard, and can absolutely recommend it.

I like it. Lets get that out of the way first. It has a great mechanical feel to it without being loudly obnoxious. A light clicking as expected makes this a fun keyboard to type on. It looks cool with the various colors on the keyboard (it actually ships with a whole keyboard replacement of keys). The RGB colors are pretty cool too, but still figuring out how to control them. I will get there! Overall a great feel and fun to use. Now the not-so-good. I am still having trouble getting a good feel for my wrists after switching from the Logitech MX (still an AWESOME keyboard). This keyboard has a higher profile so it probably needs some more adjusting. It is only connected via USB-C so no wireless. I am ok with that and the provided cable is more than long enough to get you connected. I bumped a key (the PRTSC) while adjusting the keyboard. It popped off. It was broken. Way too easily. I was able to pop off (hot swap) the broken piece but the key itself seemed ok. The problem is the pin that holds the key broke and is stuck inside the key, making the key pretty much worthless. So a couple days in and an unusable key (thank goodness for the replacement part). Overall I like it, but it could be a bit more solid. I have a Logitech MX mechanical at home that I love. But the price is about $110 more for that keyboard.

El teclado es una pasada. Lo compré sobretodo porque estaba harto de las teclas de Switch azul que suenan por toda la casa y mi familia ya estaba harta del escandalo que montaba. Este teclado de Switch Rojo es increíble, apenas suena al teclear. Parece que al teclear, flote en el aire mis dedos. La estética es preciosa y viene con otra tanda extra de teclas para cambiarle los colores. Yo le he cambiado las teclas WASD y algunas de uso común para el trabajo. También trae Switchs Rojos de repuesto y sus herramientas. Gracias a sus dobles patas traseras, se puede poner en 3 alturas. El cable de conexión se ve de gran calidad y es largo. Tiene un programa para configurar las luces, pero aun mas, para configurar las teclas y cambiarlas de sitio o crearles macros. Al ser el teclado Ingles, pude añadirle la tecla "Ñ" de forma muy sencilla, tan solo hay que cambiar el teclado a Ingles internacional (ni de USA ni de Inglaterra), ahora la "Ñ" se puede poner convinando ALT + N, es muy facil de acostumbrarse. Es mas, los hacentos en las bocales es aun mas sencillo porque solo hace falta combinar ALT + AEIUO. Yo he conseguido cambiar una tecla que está encima del ENTER, haciendo que actue tambien como ENTER, porque siempre le daba sin querer y nunca pulsaba ENTER. Pero con el programa es fácil cambiar la configuración de las teclas. Es por eso que para los Españoles que como yo dudaban en comprar un teclado que no fuera Español, que tengan claro, que esa es una barrera fácil de saltar. En definitiva. Por el precio que me costó es un teclado muy competente y precioso.

I have been finding a Red switch full size keyboard that is actually good and value for money but most of them were tkl or 75% size but then I finally found this full size keyboard. This comes with one pair of extra keycaps (except for four shortcut keys at top right), a puller, stickers, USB A to Typc cable (Typc goes into keyboard) and extra 8 switches. The keyboard is quite heavy(886g) and sturdy. Keys are nice. They aren't actual Otemu brand red switches but similar Otemu by red dragon but uses Otemu switches. The RGB is nice and quite bright. You can turn off/on/change side/edges RGB but the support is limited in that part. However, for keys RGB, it is fully controllable and and per key RGB. It has some fixed presets that you can customise/change through their software as per your liking. Software is quite basic but functional. For gaming, the feel is quite good and responsive. Anti ghosting works fine. Keycaps are really nice. Changed them all to white as soon as I received as I like them white more. Otherwise, by default it comes with combo of both. The sound isn't very thocky but still nice. Can be made even better by foam/tape mod and lubing switches. The key presses are quite soft as should be in linear. Switches are hot swappable though so you can swap with other Otemu switches later in future. The video attached for soundtest captured the sound a little high, in real it doesn't sound too clicky as Blue switches but they do sound definitely as mechanical switches and again can be made better with lubing. The per key RGB thing is a good point so you can customise the light as per your own need which is quite good and also being the reason why the keyboard rgb is quite bright and good. Also got light indicators for numlock, capslock, scroll-lock and winlock keys. Has two level height adjusters with friction pad so it doesn't slip easily due to pad and weight. Overall, a nice value for money product for general as well as gaming purpose. Specially if you are looking for full size keyboard. Only complain would be no wireless edition available (ready to pay little more but it's not available at all, it only comes in wired If you are on short budget and strictly need full size keyboard around this budget, I recommend this.

Buen producto por menos de $900 pero con sus detalles. Siento que la comparación que voy a hacer es algo injusta pero mi otro teclado de batalla es el Corsair K60 de perfil bajo. Primero la firmeza, el cuerpo del teclado es de plástico, no es malo pero a comparación del otro si se siente más frágil, la construcción de las teclas no es mala pero pareciera que a los bordes de las teclas les falto una lijada, les pongo una imagen comparando las teclas y se ve claramente como las teclas de este modelo estan como "filosas" y las otras se ven bien acabadas, eso es algo que su control de calidad debería tener en cuenta. Lo bueno es el brillo de la iluminación, no hace mucho, el sonido es muy suave; el hecho de que te incluyen 8 switches de repuesto y 104 teclas de diferente color (no incluyen las 4 multimedia), con su respectiva herramienta para quitar las teclas y los switches, hacen que tenga una buena longevidad y que tenga buen nivel de personalización. Los sets predeterminados de iluminación siento que son mejores que los que tiene el K60 ya que este tiene uno como de olas que al K60 se lo puedes poner solo con la aplicación de iCue, más las opciones que tienes con la aplicación de este teclado.
