Royal JS55BASKET 5-Sheet Strip Cut Shredder with Plastic Basket

Ignore the idiots who say this doesn't work!!! It works perfectly as intended!!!I see people saying "it doesn't have a basket" wha wha - OF COURSE it doesn't look at the picture!!!That's one reason I bought it - compact, easy to store WITHOUT a big waist basket!!!I bought 2... I only shred VERY important material - I do not shred everything that comes my way - only significant documents.This devise WILL stop working after about 15 shreds - WHY? because it shuts down to cool off - BRILLIANT!!! So you can't burn up the powerful motor - just wait for a while then it will resume working - perfectly -I LOVE this shredder because it doesn't take up lots of space and I can easily hide it away when not in use - this is NOT a work horse shredder - it's for the occasional piece of mail (or 10 pieces of mail, NOT 100 pieces of mail!!) you don't want your garbage man to see...I'm sorry I didn't write a review sooner because I think all of the ignorant reviews have ruined the image of the fantastic little shredder and it may now be discontinued - thanks Amazon "reviewers" for nothingUPDATE: it looks like they now added a "basket" due to complaints - too bad - because most shredders with baskets will not operate without the basket - This used to be a basket-less shredder which was perfect for light use - place it over a trash can and use it - This was the closest thing to a portable shredder I found - and it works great now after 2 years of ownership - but it looks like these lame Amazon reviewers are forcing the developers to change this product to look and function like all the other light weight shredders - too bad!!!

The only thing I didn't like about my shredder is that it didn't come with a waste basket. No mention of this fact was made on the listing and the image showed a shredder with a waste basket. Fortunately I discovered that it fits perfectly well over the openning of those small black plastic waste baskets that are sold at Office Depot. So now I have a shredder with a waste basket.Other than the shredder not having a waste basket, the shredder works perfect. No warm-up needed at all. Just plug in, turn on, and begin shredding.

I bought this as a replacement for a different shredder I had bought for my mom for xmas and she said was too big. She must be happy with it, she hasn't complained about it and if she didn't like it she would definitely tell me - plus, I am writing this review a year later and it is still working.

This strip shredder is adequate as home shredder meant to discourage the casual information sniffer from stealing your information from your garbage. One problem I have had with it is that it occasionally continues to run, requiring me to switch it into reverse and back to forward to "finish off" whatever I am shredding. This seems to mainly happen when shredding a single sheet or small item.

This is a total piece of trash and a waste of money. I did not receive what was shown in the image of this product even though it says Royal JS55-Sheet-cut Desktop Shredder on it.. The image is deceptive. It is actually one piece that is 1 foot long-that includes handles on each end. One handle pulls out, the other does nothing, but you can hang onto it. It is 4 inches wide. You place this piece of crap over a waste paper basket. It's suppose to shred 6 pieces of paper at one time. It couldn't even shred 1 sheet!! A sheet would go half way through, then it would jam and stop. I tried it a number of times, and then it didn't work at all. Nothing. I even tried 1/2 sheet of paper, and it still was dead as a doornail. What a rip off!! I made the mistake of throwing the box out, so I can't return the thing. I plan to toss it in the dumpster.

paper load slot to narrow. can not get paper in easily. shut itself off unexpectedly and you have to wait 15 min to restart.

This shredder neatly fit for small spaces, its short, not bulky and not protruding; overall it gets the job done. Its just what I needed for my compact at home office.

Excelente hasta 6 hojas, pero para que no se caliente yo lo uso solo con 4, es ideal para destruir estados de cuenta y demás correspondencia con datos personales que no es buena idea que terminen en manos de pillos que revisen tu basura.Uso únicamente casero, no de oficina, pequeña y algo ruidosa, pero cumple su cometido.Su único defecto es que su deposito es demasiado pequeño y se llena muy rápido. Pero para un uso casero no hay tanto problema en vaciarlo constantemente, toda vez que no su uso no ser atan intenso como en una oficina.

I needed a little shredder to keep on the desk top to make shredding messages etc convenient . This unit was perfect and works well.

Have this shredder since 2012, it's right equipment for home uses. easy to operate and compact for storage. I recommend.

Llegó con la caja muy maltratada, parchada lo que me genera duda si sirve o no. La hoja la rompe en franjas pero gruesas que permite ver datos. No puedo facturar el producto. NO LO RECOMIENDO
