Excellent gift for kids
I purchased this building block set for my nephews tenth birthday and he absolutely loved it. He is currently obsessed with Zelda and very excited when he got this. It wasn't to difficult to assemble and the pieces hold together very well. My nephew was super proud because he assembled it himself with no problems and now he keeps it displayed in his room with all his other collectibles. I would definitely recommend this as a present to anyone that loves ZELDA.

For the LoZ fan
My husband loves this collectible. He's a huge Legend of Zelda fan, so he collects anything related. This sword has pride of place on his shelves.

Just like the picture
My 10 year old loves Zelda games and was really excited for this set. It was easy enough for him to do but he still had fun, and he loves that it has a stand so he can display it on his desk but he can take it off to show people. Great buy.

Beautiful, but missing 1 piece
Mine was missing an unimportant piece on the handle. I but the manufacture would have shipped it to me if I had contacted them. This is a great product.

Don't go alone!
I know, I know, that's the sword. Still, who doesn't love a good Hylian shield fake lego kit? This is just what the kid wanted, and will go well with the Master Sword. Who can't look at this and think of the delightful game--especially "Ocarina of Time" (the best of them, IMO)?

Fun and easy build, looks great on my wall
For being an off-brand set of a non-Nintendo licensed product, this "building blocks" set has a surprising amount of quality and accuracy to the Zelda lore. I did have a few snags that I'll get into a bit later in the review, for the most part it was super fun putting the whole thing together. For now, I'll talk about the things I like. Again, the quality is very solid overall. Colors are accurate, and it just feels really faithful to the Zelda aesthetic. For me, building was relatively easy and I found the instructions to be decently clear. The finished product looks amazing on my wall, and I can't wait to grab the Master Sword in order to finish the 2-piece set. If you're wondering, the shield is not build into the base. They are two distinct pieces that are easily separated in you want to hold the shield alone. As for negatives, there are a few. Some of the blocks got a bit scratched up before I even opened the seal on the bag - it's mostly an issue with just the flat, glossy pieces. Also, the colors on the blue pieces in particular aren't completely uniform. To me, the area surrounding the base of the stud is noticeably dull. Lastly, the instructions can become a bit confusing the further along into the build you get. In the current format, major parts of the build are shown in a yellow box, but then they start using yellow boxes to highlight intricate parts of the build as well. It gets really confusing towards the end when the two different yellow box types begin to show up frequently together. It's not a huge deal, but I can see it being particularly tricky for some people to grasp. Aside from that though, it's a really cool set. When you factor in the price, I think it's well within bounds of a 5-star rating.
