Excellent card reader for your pc
The media could not be loaded. So the GH6 went to a big sale this year and I decided to purchase it as an upgrade for my GH5. Using a SD Card on the GH6, it stopped recording a few times due to slow read times and buffering. So I had to get a CFexpress card which can record those crazy rates on the camera. Now most pcs like mine don't have a CFexpress reader and I purchased this one. It works great. You plug your card in, plug the unit into a USBC or USB slot and it lights up. Reads the card and transfers data with no problem. I don't know this company but they made a very good product, with two slot covers to protect the connection. I can't attest to the fast read times due to my slow USB interface but I believe on a modern PC it should be blazing.

CFexpress Type A Card Reader (USB 3.2 Gen) – Fast and Reliable, but Is It Worth It?
Pros✅ High-Speed Transfers – With USB 3.2 Gen technology, this reader delivers blazing-fast read and write speeds, making it ideal for handling large 4K/8K video files and high-resolution photos.✅ Plug-and-Play Convenience – No need for drivers—just plug it in, and it’s ready to use on Windows, macOS, and other compatible devices.✅ Compact & Portable – The small, lightweight design makes it easy to carry in a camera bag for on-the-go use.✅ Durable Build – Many models come with a solid aluminum or reinforced plastic casing to ensure longevity and heat dissipation during extended transfers.✅ Wide Compatibility – Works with CFexpress Type A cards commonly used in high-end Sony cameras, including the Alpha series.Cons❌ Limited to CFexpress Type A – If you need to read CFexpress Type B or SD cards, you’ll need a separate reader.❌ Can Get Warm During Extended Use – Some users report that prolonged file transfers generate noticeable heat.❌ Slightly Expensive – CFexpress readers tend to be pricier than traditional SD or microSD readers, which might feel steep for casual users.Final VerdictThe CFexpress Type A Card Reader (USB 3.2 Gen) is a must-have for photographers and videographers who frequently deal with large file transfers. It’s fast, reliable, and convenient, but if you work with multiple card formats, a multi-card reader might be a better investment.

Poor case design. Good electronics. Works on Intel + Apple Silicon Macs, iPads, PCs, etc.
The plastic end caps fall off allowing the circuit board to slide out. Finally happened to me when unplugging the reader from my computer. The little glue that had held it together has failed and there is no mechanical mechanism to keep the case together; just adhesive. -1 point. Other than that, read on. I still like this thing. This thing works exactly as you'd expect it to. I'm using it with a hand-assembled cfexpress type b (xqd) card (a samsung nvme drive from a PC, in a metal enclosure). It's one of my favorite devices now even beyond the photography use that it was intended for. Transferring lots of data between servers? No problem. This works in a pinch and is fast. Would buy again if I needed another. Thanks! Also, this is not a paid review. I just really like this thing.

Easy to Carry, Use, and Durable!!
I have purchased similar card reader with cable before and it was annoying to carry around. This one has NO cable which is GREAT and works every time!! The option of having USB and USB-C connection is brilliant. It is so small I carry it in my camera bag. Highly recommended!!!

Smallest CFexpress Type B Reader!
The Trebleet reader is a very compact size if you are trying to minimize the bits you need to carry when on the road. The reader alone measures 2-15/16" x 1-1/8" x 3/16". I like the USB-C support for high-speed transfers to/from large capacity CFexpress B cards. (And you also have a USB-A option). Works perfectly on my MacBook Pro running Sonoma v14.5.

It works without any issues.
I've never used CF express B before, but it is simple enough. The card reader works great. It gets a little warm, but its not an issue if you just unplug it when you aren't using it.
