So far this is the best foil shaver since my old series 7 i had for over 8 years using the old 70s heads that are hard to find. Its battery finally quit and i got a series 6 and then 7 of the newer style they have now. Both of those were major downgrades. This series 8 shaves as good, or better than that old series 7 and is rubberized on the back which makes grip better than the old 7. I like the included charging stand. If you're trying to decide between thos and current series 7 offerings the 7 is less powerful and the 360 head makes it cut weird and horribly on my neck and around my ears, whereas the 8 here hits both in a few glides on each side to ensure coverage. I compared both with new heads and the 8 wins hands down. Its louder than the 7, but not by enough to matter. And I've now had this a month, literally charged it the night after i got it and haven't needed to since, and i shave daily, this shaver is so effective and efficient that i literally get done in a few passes over my face, it barely uses any battery per shave. 1 month and 5 days from daye of receiving abd intial cgarging at my house and it finally needed another charge. That's awesome, if i can go about a month on each charge cycle this razor will last a long time. Its still cutting really well and shaving great as well. Still highly recommending this line over brauns current series 5/6/7 offerings. You get far better performance and functionality, better battery life and they feel built better. I had a 7075cc i upgraded from, the 360 swivel head is just a useless gimmick that, in my opinion actually made its performance worse than old series 7 i had that finally bit the dust. Plus the new series 5/6/7 heads are thin and clog with hairs very quickly, don't wash easily and aren't easily snapped on and off compared to the series 8. If you're trying to decide on spending a bit more, get the 8 and spend more its worth it. Better shave, extremely longer battery life, better features on the shaver, and just overall a far better bang for the money. Only thing is the 83m heads these use are $60ish each to buy replacements for, but i can live with that for the performance they provide me.

I have tried other electric razors in the past and found them either uncomfortable or not very good shavers. The Braun is smooth on my face and leaves my skin comfortable and well shaved. The noise level is quite acceptable. The charging base and cleaner are large but do a good job of maintaining the shaver in clean condition and the battery always charged

I have this and now a series 5. I love the self cleaning dock! The shave is close! I'm in the military so I need to shave every day. It does seem to struggle with some of my neck but I have issues with normal razors there as well. For me this shaves like I used a real razor 3 hours earlier. Does have a nice carring case for travel as well. Ive used other electric razors and this seems to be my favorite, I hope the blades last a while!

I am comparing this new shaver to the counterpart from several years ago. The shave is a 5, very smooth. While the side burn trimmer has improved, it still falls short for cutting hairs cleanly. That's only a 3. The new shaver is WAY noiseier than the previous model. It's very noticable as you near the ears.

pretty good. better shave than series 7 360flex, which was my previous one. somehow also quieter and vibrates less harshly than series 7, though that could have been entirely due to me comparing a 22 month old cartridge on series 7 vs brand new one on series 8. Changing blades is also easier than on series 5-7 since you have a pop out button and no need to pry it off. Cleaning station is actually useful and not a gimmick. Another unspoken benefit of cleaning station is that plugging it in is very intuitive vs regular charing stand where you have to perfectly aim into the hole, often times with multiple attempts + since its upside down, water goes down to the blade instead of the handle and charging port, leaving them unstained. I suggest to buy these and other braun shavers only on discounts, which they frequently go on, I got this one with cleaning station for $230, for example.

Gives a good shave. I have owned Braun shavers since 2008, Series 5-7-8-9. I liked the Series 7 best, Series 9 pro the least. This is a good shaver. The cleaning ,& charging station is a good feature, the pop up trimmer is like, I have only two concerns. 1) the replacement foils are expensive to replace, & 2) the power button.My Series pro 9, power button detached from the shaver, just after the 2yr warranty expired.Some costumers had this happen, some didn't. This new Series 8 8567cc power button feels a little similar.Hope iam wrong. I strongly recommend that you extend your warranty from 2 to 7 years ASAP within the first 90 days of ownership. It's free & it offeres the extra peace of mine.Enjoy your purchase.

Worked great for 3 months, then just stopped. Fully charged, button won't work (yes, holding it down for a minute in case it is in travel lock mode, still no help). Manual provides a phone number for support, which directs you to their web page, which provides the same phone number and a chat interface, but no one responds to the chat. They only list 3 service centers in the US (one in Lawrenceville, GA two in Las Vegas), none of which are branded Braun service centers. No instructions on how to get repairs or claim warranty. A warranty is no good if you can't actually get the device repaired. Trash it, I guess. Switching to Phillips - hopefully they have better customer service.

I looked at and tried several electric razors and this Braun Series 8 foil razor best fit the bill for me. It gives me the closest shave with no irritation. I feel that has to do with the higher apparent speed of the cutting blades. I've used electric razors for probably 30 years, my previous one is a 20 year old Panasonic. Build quality of the Braun is outstanding, particularly the high quality cutter head design. It only has 3 cutting edge components which seems ideal to me. I tried other razors with up to 5 cutting surfaces and they are just too unwieldy to use in the nooks and crannies. Also, battery life is amazing. I charged it up when I first got it and it is going on 3 weeks now only dropping one bar on the LCD display. I shave every day. My model came with a travel case which should work fine. My only knock on the razor is, it does not have a cutter head guard for protection when traveling. This is something I'm used to and think it should be part of the Braun package. A guard is not available as an accessory, I checked with Braun. This is a very solid performer. Very happy with purchase so far.

Ordered for a friend who has been using this for a couple of months. He finds it works well, has a strong recharge, and is easy to use on the contours of the face. Perfect!

I made it to my 50's before I finally got myself a good razor by buying this model. I'd buy cheaper electric models, I also tried blades, and skipped shaving whenever possible. I now regret not investing in this sooner. All these years I didn't think it would make any real difference. I was wrong. Now I shave without pain or irritation. Not *quite* as smooth as a blade but close and no nicks or razor burn or residue in the sink. Battery charge lasts a long time. Cleans easily. I recommend this model whole heartedly if it's in your budget.

Ce rasoir remplace mon Braun Series 5 que j’avais précédemment. La Series 8 offre un rasage beaucoup plus efficace et est toujours aussi confortable. Je recommande fortement ce produit.
