This shaver has been very helpful for my situation as I am using to shave the beard of another adult. I use to for my disabled son's daily grooming routine. It is very quiet (important with folks with noise sensitivity) It works quickly and cuts close without knicking (he does not like stubble on his face). It has cut down the time spent on shaving his fairly heavy beard twice a day (he is happier with the quicker shave). It holds a charge for several days/weeks. I would highly reccomend this product. I previously used the same manufacture's travel battery operated shaver, but my son's heavy beard literally out grew the device. I love this manufacturer and their products.

So far this is the best foil shaver since my old series 7 i had for over 8 years using the old 70s heads that are hard to find. Its battery finally quit and i got a series 6 and then 7 of the newer style they have now. Both of those were major downgrades. This series 8 shaves as good, or better than that old series 7 and is rubberized on the back which makes grip better than the old 7. I like the included charging stand. If you're trying to decide between thos and current series 7 offerings the 7 is less powerful and the 360 head makes it cut weird and horribly on my neck and around my ears, whereas the 8 here hits both in a few glides on each side to ensure coverage. I compared both with new heads and the 8 wins hands down. Its louder than the 7, but not by enough to matter. And I've now had this a month, literally charged it the night after i got it and haven't needed to since, and i shave daily, this shaver is so effective and efficient that i literally get done in a few passes over my face, it barely uses any battery per shave. 1 month and 5 days from daye of receiving abd intial cgarging at my house and it finally needed another charge. That's awesome, if i can go about a month on each charge cycle this razor will last a long time. Its still cutting really well and shaving great as well. Still highly recommending this line over brauns current series 5/6/7 offerings. You get far better performance and functionality, better battery life and they feel built better. I had a 7075cc i upgraded from, the 360 swivel head is just a useless gimmick that, in my opinion actually made its performance worse than old series 7 i had that finally bit the dust. Plus the new series 5/6/7 heads are thin and clog with hairs very quickly, don't wash easily and aren't easily snapped on and off compared to the series 8. If you're trying to decide on spending a bit more, get the 8 and spend more its worth it. Better shave, extremely longer battery life, better features on the shaver, and just overall a far better bang for the money. Only thing is the 83m heads these use are $60ish each to buy replacements for, but i can live with that for the performance they provide me.

I’ve been using this shaver for a while now and overall I’m really happy with it. It gives a good, close shave, the battery life is solid, and being able to use it wet or dry is really convenient. One thing I would recommend is using the other trimmer/shaver on the back first if you have longer hair. It makes it much easier to get a full, clean shave instead of trying to use the main shaving head on everything. Once the longer hair is trimmed down, the main shaver does a really good job finishing everything off. It’s not absolutely perfect and I sometimes have to go over certain areas a couple times, which is why I’d give it 4 stars, but overall it’s been a very good shaver and I’m happy with it.

After using a Phillips rotating-head shaver for many years, I decided to try the Braun vibrating head because it felt like the Phillip was many passes to finish. I'm happy to say that the Braun does a much more efficient job. I like being able to run it slowly and smoothly over my face. In some places, it will provide a close shave in one pass. The Phillips also had a tendency to clip my lip when shaving in that area; the Braun seems much safer. The Braun came with a cleaning device (this was cheaper than buying the shaver without the cleaner), but I've been cleaning with plain water and that's fine so far. I don't like having to buy refills for the cleaner. Highly recommended, wish I had switched sooner.

I have using electric shavers from the 1980s when the cost of razor blades increased and they lasted fewer shaves. This series 8 model works quite well, gives a smooth shave.

I'm sure many of you have had a good experience... I'm sad to say this razor had the look and feel of a quality product, but in use, pulled my short facial hair out, inducing much pain. I tried a few more times, and each time, it was a lousy shaving experience. If this is the norm, I would not recommend this for any living human being. Heck, no! Even my enemies deserve a clean, close, comfortable shave, but not this! Amazon promptly refunded my money, and I am perplexed about what to buy next. I'm a Sasquatch Researcher. I know what a close shave is.

I have been an old school straight razor guy for many years. I decided as I got older and went on aspirin.Therapy that I was going to give electric shaving a try. I bought one that seemed to be decent. However it wasn't. So I read a lot about electric razors. This series eight, with the soft cleaning is absolutely amazing. I shave to what I feel is just as close and smooth as if I was using a blade. I know the price is a little steep, but sometimes you gotta spend that little extra money to get something good for yourself. I do not regret purchasing this at all

Due to the cost, I was concerned if the razor would perform as detailed. Well, it absolutely does! It's the best razor I've ever purchased. Good buy. Also, the battery life perform charge is amazing too.

I had a series 5 and this series 8 is absolutely amazing such a difference!! fast and clean cut I wish I had made the upgrade too much sooner.

I made it to my 50's before I finally got myself a good razor by buying this model. I'd buy cheaper electric models, I also tried blades, and skipped shaving whenever possible. I now regret not investing in this sooner. All these years I didn't think it would make any real difference. I was wrong. Now I shave without pain or irritation. Not *quite* as smooth as a blade but close and no nicks or razor burn or residue in the sink. Battery charge lasts a long time. Cleans easily. I recommend this model whole heartedly if it's in your budget.

Ordered for a friend who has been using this for a couple of months. He finds it works well, has a strong recharge, and is easy to use on the contours of the face. Perfect!
