This heavy duty cutter was amazing. I used it to remove all the old carpet out of a motorhome remodel. And it worked excellent. I didn’t even have to go through all of the blades, but the blades are sharp. The handle was really nice the way that it’s curved. It was very, very heavy duty. It sit in your hand nicely also it cut the carpet like butter

Looks exactly like web site picture. Works very well. Better than an exacto blade or scissors

A little difficult to reassemble. Cuts well. Comfortable in the hand.

I do not cut rug for a living. But I wanted to cut up a very large area rug to toss in the curbside trash can. This worked perfectly for my needs. The ‘hooked’ blade is wicked sharp. Once I got past the sewn edges, the blade cut up my rug like a heated knife through butter. Don’t know what else I’ll use it for. Seems a bit overkill to open packages. But you never know when it will come in handy. Well worth the price.

This made pulling up an old carpet so much easier!!! I do wish they had a blade cover for storage, but that’s minor. The big one with the roller made it easy to stay in a line. The smaller one helped with the parts that were stuck near the wall. I am just a homeowner- no construction skills. These worked great!

My biggest reason for giving this a one (star) is because it is potentially dangerous. The yellow box cutter-like tool is the type of plastic used for toys. Pairing that with a sharp blade and any pressure whatsoever is asking for a snapped tool and an injury. The roller tool is much more sturdy, and I had high hopes for it, but once you put the blade in place, the mechanism will barely snap all the way back into place…if you can get it in place at all. If it’s not locked into place and you put enough force on it to cut carpet, it could easily snap open and fling the blade out. [There is nothing holding the blade in place except for the handle that is barely closed.] [I tested it by lightly pressing on a cardboard box and it popped open.] I strongly dislike some of the excessive safety features and warnings on some products, but this is the kind of item that causes that. I’m keeping it to see if I can find a safe use for it, and maybe fit the blades in another tool, but I would definitely recommend *not* buying this. If you do purchase, do not use around children or animals!!

Unable to close the cover once a blade is inserted. Only the cheap yellow plastic handle was usable.

This is a unique knife. ill be fascinated to see how it performs in real carpet and vinyl laying work. arrived with spare blades. good value
