Plexaderm Rapid Reduction Serum

Baggy eyes made me look like a Basset Hound. This makes me look 20 years younger - no bags under the eyes. Don't expect it to last more than a day - always good to wash it off in the shower and apply a fresh dab under the eyes. Don't gob it. Use tiny dabs and work it in like a quick smear over the needed area. Over application does nothing more but cake excess on your skin. Work it in carefully. In about 15 minutes - no more bags. You can apply touch up dabs as needed. Buy the tube - much better deal and easier to apply than the push dispenser.

I don't often write reviews, it has to be really good or really bad for me to write one, and surprise it’s a… good one! My eye bags have been aging me (thanks perimenopause). I always look exhausted (which I am, but that's not information I want known, however my traitorous under-eyes have been broadcasting it to the entire world without my consent). I have a lower bleph scheduled because why not surgically alter my face to fit some made up beauty standard? But while I wait for my date with a scalpel I needed something to keep me from spiraling down the “am I really that old?!?” Rabbit hole. Enter Plexaderm. I was skeptical, especially at that price point. Nothing stings quite like spending real money on something that doesn't work and still looking tired. But I caved, tried it, and I am happy to report my puffy bags have been basically obliterated. Temporarily, unfortunately. If this lasted forever I could cancel the surgery and take a nice vacation on the savings, but alas, Italy will have to wait. It does last all day though, so better than nothing. The middle photo is unedited, which if you couldn’t tell it’s my after shot, (because I've learned not to trust my own perception of how good I look). I stood in the same spot for both photos so the lighting would be consistent. Ten minutes apart. The serum goes on right after I shower (I found it plumps up the surrounding area, which helps), and I apply it with a Q-tip for control. When I use my fingers I end up with weird tightened divots at the outer corners and suddenly I look like a lizard who is also tired. Not the goal. It does have a slightly powdery finish and will flake if I touch it after it dries, so hands off. It also flakes a little with sunscreen and imagine it would with foundation as well (I just do tinted SPF, nothing heavy), but patting it on instead of rubbing fixes that. I can feel it working, there's a drying sensation and a subtle pull. If you're neurodivergent, that might bother you. I am, and I've classified it as survivable, but worth mentioning. One quirk: it does something a little weird to my crow's feet when I smile, it makes the wrinkles look wider, like they're more like ravens than crows. Doesn't bother me, but I wish I'd taken a before smile shot for science. Bottom line: it works. I look my age. I'm not broadcasting my exhaustion to strangers anymore. I'm happy.

I had a mixed experience with this product. I have very fair skin and very slight dark circles/bags under eyes. I first applied to one eye keeping well below the eye where the dark circle was most apparent. I put on one eye, let dry and compared. I did not see much difference. Then I tried on the other eye, and applied a bit higher. This time I did notice a substantial difference, however, due to the fact that the product is a sort of beige/pink color, the color showed on my light skin, and made a different detractor to the "seamless" look I was after. I do not wear foundation, so maybe for someone who does wear it over the product, that would solve the problem. Also, if your skin tone is darker, the product would probably match/blend better if using without make up. I also have some fine lines, and I noted that as the product tightened, these lines became more apparent at the edge of where I applied the product. This might be solved with a more expert application process-or applying over a wider area. I also noted that the product created a matte finish that was less shiny than my natural skin. In certain light, if inspecting closely, one could see the difference in the level of shine between where the product was and was not. This is also probably fixable if wearing foundation over the product. I could feel the tightening effect as the product dried, and did not like the feeling of it. I removed it after a few minutes, so do not know if this would have subsided if worn over a longer time. Basically, I think the product does what it is advertised to do, however, the color of the product would be best matched to medium skin tones, or used under make-up, IMO. I did not try with make-up so unsure if adding make-up would reduce the tightening effect or not.

I bought this after seeing different advertisements about how it could be used around the eyes, forehead, face, and mouth and it could last for several hours. Instructions said to use a little bit. However, it didn't last long when I only used a little. When I put more on it lasts about 4 or 5 hours. Also, says to not use with makeup. But it is orange color. So, if you don't want sections of your face looking orange, you will need makeup. But then it dries faster and flakes more. It is hard to get the right balance. Pro: It did work around eyes and forehead for a while for me and I do have some deep wrinkles there. They were almost invisible for a while. Cons: Cost a lot for a little tube, you have to use a lot if you are trying to mask deep wrinkles for a longer period, and it makes you look orange which reminds me of the Willy Wonka Oompa Loompas. I am light skinned and it definitely made me look orange where I put it on. It, also, did not work at all on my lower face and near my mouth where I have less issues with only small fine line wrinkles but that could be because I have to talk a lot in my job and it doesn't can't stay tight long. They could have picked a better color and then no make up would be needed and it would be nice if less of the product has to be used which would probably make it worth the price.

This stuff REALLY does work after just a few minutes! It was one of those things where you go back and look at yourself in the mirror and think "WOW! I wish they made this in gallon size!" lol One thing I will note, if you're thinking about buying it, it kind of 'dulls' the areas you apply it to so in the right light it's easy to tell you've been using something. I didn't notice any kind of fragrance to it.

Ease of use

My husband loves this product because it reduces the bags and puffiness under his eyes. I can't use it under my makeup--they just don't work together. But my hubby thinks it's great for him.

I like Plexaderm it works on my eye bags , just a pin head amount needed to apply gently and allowed to dry . My only small concern is why the product is still not developed with a tint , due to leaving a white under eye residue if you apply a little too much . This product is very popular they need to put more research into improving the white residue but it works well for a few hours decreasing the puffiness around eyes . Yes it is still a little pricey , but improves appearance .

So disappointed by this purchase! It doesn't work basically. After a few trials, ended up with the same result, cracked up after product dried. There is no difference seeing wrinkles. I wouldn't recommend this at all. Expensive and useless! Don't waste your money!
