Very useful guide

We bought this for a trip to Rome in May and it proved very useful for restaurants. Picked three restaurants near the hotel, one of which impressed the hotel receptionist, as she had been there herself and had found it to be very good. Note that these were not starred restaurants but just recommended with the 'plate and knife and fork' sign in the book. All three were good and one was excellent, although the latter was €100 per head. The guide also came in handy for cross referencing hotels in Sorrento offered by package tour operators. Overall, great value and, looking at an Italian city which I know well - Venice - I would say the guide confirms my views on the restaurants there. By the way, it is possible to use the book without knowing any Italian but you will get more out of it if you can read Italian a little.
