Anyone tried putting in a mesh and running warm water over the mix to lower the sodium? If so - results?

I add a little to make a paste for chicken and beef but really don't think it lowers the salt but I have seen lemon pepper w/o salt

Yes. It is exceptionally good when used to add a hint of lemon, pepper and garlic flavoring to your food. Granted this needs to be treated as any other spice (as a dash of extra flavoring) and you may still need additional amounts of each specific spice/herb to achieve the full flavor profile that you want with each dish.
