Mechanix Wear FFTAB-72-009 FastFit Gloves Coyote (Medium)

These gloves have been absolutely solid for me. I’ve used them in pretty much every condition – snow, sand, grass, forests, camping trips, holidays, even in water and salt water down to around 20ft – and they’ve just kept going. They’re lightweight but still feel tough, and you’ve got really good control and dexterity which makes them useful for way more than just outdoor stuff. The touchscreen feature actually works properly too, which is a nice bonus. They’re not designed to be waterproof or super warm, but that’s not really what they’re for. As an all-round, hard-use glove they’ve been spot on. Genuinely impressed – would 100% buy again.

I brought these gloves to use whilst hiking, camping, expecting them to provide a bit of a barrier between my hand and “axe to chop wood”, “knife to feather wood for fire”, “make a fire”, “using Kelly kettle for tea”, and general campsite/hiking activities. I can honestly say, they are so good, my brother purchased a pair (in the middle of the woods) after trying them when we’d stopped to make lunch & tea whilst we where out hiking. We set up a little base camp so we could use Kelly kettle to make some tea, then use the hobo stove setup parts to make a bacon sandwich, I’d been singing there praises all morning & then said he should try them, within 5 minutes he asked for the link to purchase some. Between us we described them as “lightweight & comfortable enough, to not get in your way, or feel in any, ANY! way uncomfortable or irritating(as gloves often do), with a quality of materials & manufacturing that gives you, a feeling of confidence your hands are protected and capable of carrying out any job, big or small”, be that a “club handed or intricate job”, with the sense that your gloves will act as a barrier that simply feels like a second skin. Incase it’s not obvious, both my brother (a GP) & I(precision aerospace engineer, biker), highly rate these gloves, as I say, he purchased a pair in the middle of the woods after trying mine whilst doing some tasks, and I have myself ordered a second pair. Summary; *They look great, good colour *Incredibly comfortable *lightweight *Inexpensive *Great quality *Touchscreen works faultlessly *Perfect fit I used the size guide to make my purchase and it was spot on. The only thing I can’t speak to, is durability, because I haven’t had them long enough, however in that time I’ve used them for hiking, camping knife work for the making, lighting & using of a camping fire for cooking, recurve bow archery(practice), crossbow archery(practice) and tomahawk throwing, they performed perfectly during all activities, show no signs of any wear or marking, I did put them through the washing machine at 40*, due to dirt & smelling of campfire smoke, and they came out perfect. If it’s not obvious by now, “I can’t recommend these highly enough”. If you need a pair of gloves for outdoors pursuit activities, or even just as a pair of gloves for everyday wear, you’d be happy you purchased these. I don’t believe in giving good reviews when it’s not warranted, but in this case, 100% will buy more myself(as will my brother). P.s. it’s some weeks, “only weeks!”, and I have brought another pair in black, to throw into my daily use ruc-sac…

I like mechanix brand gloves, have been using them for years.. I buy a fresh few pairs every few months but the quality feels like its slipping though I've had some seams bust quickly which is annoying. Other than that the fit is fantastic for me and they wash well.. obviously they will absorb oil quickly so used for fry tasks but their breathable and easy on off. They offer only moderate protection, I use impact gloves for chain blocking and these just for housekeeping etc just so that I have gloves on. The palm material is supple and increases grip slightly offering protection against abrasion but not cutting. All in all I will definitely buy again.

Love these gloves, seem pretty hard wearing and comfortable. Would buy again.

I have had these gloves six months now and I am very impressed. I have worn them a lot whilst walking with my dogs. They have also been through the washing machine three or four times proving to be durable, hard wearing and have become extremely comfortable. Thick enough to provide some protection whilst still offering dexterity. The touch screen ability works well enough to enter Pin numbers and answer your phone. Not the best for extreme cold weather but pliant enough to still be able to perform basic tasks. Easy to pull on with the small loops sewn into the inside of the cuff. Nice design, good price, very well made and comfortable. Use the size guide but suggest going slightly smaller for the best fit.

Disappointed with the durablity as ive got holes through most fingers within ~2months of use in the garden. Shame as they were really comfy and grippy and i brought these with the mindset they were more expensive than others but would last me years.

Good gear

I got these at a special price, but they are good for the full price too. They are very well made with great materials and a lot of thought has obviously gone into this and their design. There are many good you tube clips showing what these gloves can, and are suited to, do. The one feature that did surprise me after receiving them was how light and compact they are - so not bulky or cumbersome at all. This plus how well made they are is an unexpected and pleasing feature you do not find in other gloves where quality and bulk seem to be traded off. Not for very cold or very hard use. But very capable for a wide range of uses nevertheless. Some reviewers have noted that sizing is key and that the seams at the internal ends of fingers can irritate slightly. This will be particularly so if you undersize the gloves - so err on the larger size. There is little down side to going too large due to the general compactness of the gloves.

El ajuste en dedos y muñeca, es perfecto, atendiendo a la tabla de medidas de la marca. El color Wolf Grey es sobrio y elegante. Tienen capacidad para interactual con pantallas táctiles.

9.5 out of 10 on the fit. 10 out of 10 on comfort and breathability. Unsure on durability and life of use as i havent had the chance to put through the paces. But these arent for heavy duty or impact protection. Good shooting gloves or for just protecting the pads of hands. Cheap enough to replace. I have medium size hands, not slender or meaty. These fit well without slack anywhere. Good to go. Happy purchase. Going to order 2 more.

Forse per me sarebbe stata meglio una XS, ma la taglia S è comunque funzionale. Sembrano resistenti.

Muy buena protección, se ponen rápido y de momento han aguantado bastante bien un par de jornadas. Habiéndolos probado en verano a bastante temperatura ambiente, a pleno sol siendo de color negro, sorprende que no hagan pasar ningún calor, ni sudor de manos ni incomodidad alguna por temperatura. Me gustaría ver si dejan pasar el frío en invierno, en cualquier caso, pero muy buen punto por el momento.

El material de los guantes está muy bien, sin embargo en la palma el material se siente ligero aunque para trabajos cotidianos está excelente (no demandantes o abrasivos), se puede consultar para lo que están destinados en la norma EN388. El dorso de la mano viene muy acolchado y puede soportar impactos leves-moderados. En el tamaño tuve un poco de confusión, ya que no me gustan que queden muy olgados, el tamaño chico estuvo bien en todo, principalmente en ajuste de dedos, pero el tamaño de la palma en especial la zona baja del guante, siento que queda un poco descubierto. El tamaño de mi mano es de 17.5 cm del dedo anular hasta la base (arriba de la muñeca) y 8.5 cm de ancho. Me gustó el diseño de los guantes, buena marca y resistentes para lo que son.
