Smart phone camera gimbal - lots of features - compact & portable
This is my first attempt at using a gimbal vs. hand holding my camera. This device has lots of features that are not intuitive but do make it very fun to use. I use it with my iPhone which I keep in a protective case. The small brackets that hold the device barely hold the phone but honestly I'm even more concerned about a drop or fall while using this gimbal (because of the motions and situations I'll use it in) than holding my phone in hand so I'll likely keep the case on. Downloaded the app and connected. Realized there is much to learn about how to manipulate and use all the functions available. Had trouble getting the tracking feature to work consistently. Does produce nice smooth videos.Still have lots to learn to make this device dance and sing but having lots of fun with it so far. Much more powerful video tool than I expected probably near the pro-sumer or hobbyist product range.

Best for quality, features and affordable price
I had surveyed comments from different brands and realized that Feiyu-Tech gimbles stabilizers are Best for quality, features and affordable price. Customer Service was excellent and quick responses to any inquiries!I would absolutely recommend their products. I bought both VB4-SE and SCORP MINI-2 and completely satisfied with them. But I think that the VB4 may be better than VB4-SE due to AI built-in features and main body extension.

Not clear that rod not 8ncluded
I am returning to get the model with the extension rod. Be aware that the SE model does not include the extension rod that is pictured so the description and pictures are incorrect.

This thing is awesome
This thing is absolutely awesome. Its amazing and has all of the features of the much more expensive gimbles at a very good price. I just wish it had a Selfie Stick extension. but for the price this is unbeatable

Stopped charging after about a dozen uses
Got this in June, worked just fine for a few months. Does the trick for a Pixel 7 when it's working. 0I keep it in a protected cabinet with my other film gear, and have only used it for about a dozen shots with my smartphone, when the gimbal for my larger camera couldn't fit in the spaces I needed. Then it... simply stopped charging properly, with no apparent reason. No heavy use, no damage, no drops, nothing. I thought maybe the included charge cable was bunk but after trying several other cable/plug combinations nothing changed even after leaving overnight several times. The LED indicators *appear to show that it's charging (even all the way up to the Green Light, Fully Charged indicator) when it's plugged in, but then when I attempt to actually power the device on I immediately get the red blink indicator for "low power shutdown" and the motors and LEDs all simply cut their own power after less than two seconds of the device being powered on, even if it is entirely unweighted with a device.

A Feature Rich Gimbal, but not without Tradeoffs
This is a review for the FeiyuTech VB 4SE Gimbal Stabilizer for Smartphone: take note that this is for the more "value" centric SE version without the Telescoping arm, but I believe the notes here would apply to both. The VB4SE is a feature-rich gimbal that I'm using with a iPhone platform, so your milage may vary for Android, but overall, I was very impressed with how easily it worked with the app. Without the app, the gimbal was simple to setup, and while a lot of the bluetooth functionality was limited, it was easy to balance and took smooth video. With the app, you actually had the ability to control either the zoom or the focus, which was quite impressive. The tracking works relatively well, the auto face track is also a nifty feature, though like the DJI Pocket series, I found the track movement to be a little too janky to use and would prefer to just frame up and leave the frame as-is rather than face track. Now for the tradeoffs: this is limited to smartphones, and the grips are juuuust enough to hold onto a iPhone SE without taking off my case, though the manual states that you should remove the case. That being said, I found this to be the big disappointment; you're limited to phones, and with the design of the "fingers" makes me worried that larger phones with girth may not fit super well. And while I appreciate the functionality, it's definitely a gimbal that requires a bit of manual reading to understand how to use the secondary and third functions of the presses and such (and the wherewithall to remember what does what!).Other limitations include that the phone HAS to sit with the camera lens to the left, and there isn't a super elegant way to power down apart from just letting the phone flop around (no autolock, or lock function in general). That being said, I don't see this as a professional gimbal, but rather a sort of barebones travel gimbal that can get in you in/out without drawing a lot of attention to yourselfOverally, for the value, I think it's a decent option if you're looking exclusively for a phone gimbal that's light enough to one hand and fit into a small bag. I can't speak to the longevity at this point, but will update as use goes on to say whether it's held up to time, or if it goes wonky.
