Sensor readings seem accurate, device is portable, I was ready to give 5 stars. Then at 3am it jolted me awake with a sharp repeating beep. I genuinely thought someone had broken into my house. Turns out it was a low battery alert. CO2 reading at the time? 420 ppm. Completely normal air. No reason for any alarm. A CO2 overload alarm makes sense. A low battery is not an emergency. Charge it tomorrow, nobody dies from a few hours of missed monitoring. But this thing screams like a fire alarm and there is no way to silence or disable it. The manual says nothing. It does not matter where you put this device in your home. If it goes off while you are sleeping, anywhere within earshot, you will think you are being robbed. A product marketed as a health tool nearly gave me a heart attack. Avoid until Inkbird fixes this.

It’s ruggedly built with a durable rubber coating, ideal for keeping on a work belt or gear, which is exactly how I plan to use it. The package includes everything needed: a 2m charging cable, the monitor, and a manual. One quick tip: when you first use the device, set it in an open, uninhabited area and manually calibrate it for the most accurate readings. Overall, it’s a 10/10 from me—very satisfied. Inkbird never disappoints.

Comparing it to my Aranet id say it runs prob 5-20 points lower consistently but overall I’d say that’s not too bad. Wanted something easy to travel with because I sometimes forget to bring the aranet. This I’ll just keep attach to my purse from now on. Charge also seems to be holding pretty well. Iv had it on all day since I got it and it’s still got almost all three bars . Great lower cost option of a travel unit. *** so after having it for awhile now still a decent low cost option but just know you need to recalibrate it pretty often for it to stay decent. Also I noticed it seems to be more off in readings as the battery drains so just something to keep in mind.

While it worked, it was great and very helpful. Sadly though, it only worked for a little over 2 months. Given its short life, I can't recommend.

Anyone buying this should be super sceptical of what it reads. The idea of just "calibrate in an open space" is kinda rediculose. Not only will the device have to assume that this "open space" is 400 PPM CO2, but without mutiple points for a calibration how would it ever know how much a change on its sensor is also a change to CO2? 3 stars since I think it techicaly is working to tell you if CO2 is rising, but I wouldn't bet on the numbers having much meaning.

This product came well packaged and was easy to use. When I first turned it on I got a reading of 431 and then I blew across the vents on the bottom of the device and in a few minutes the reading went up to 867. I then placed it outdoors and it read 763 after a few minutes. I think the original 431 reading may have not been correct because I didn't wait long enough for it to read correctly. The readings a not instantaneous and seem to take a few minutes to settle in. You will see the reading changing as you watch it. My next test was for the reason I bought it. I wanted to use it to see if I have a CO2 leak in my kegerator. I homebrew and I have a three kegs hooked up and there are several places where you can get a leak in the CO2 gas that is used to pressurize and serve the beer. There is nothing worse than putting a new tank of CO2 in and have it empty by the next day because of a leak. I placed the detector in the bottom of the kegerator and after several minutes I had a reading of 899. A bit higher than the room the kegerator is in so I might have a slow leak or the cold temperature makes it different. I next purposely released some CO2 inside the kegerator and did some other things while waiting for the detector to stabilize. After some time I heard a beeping sound coming from the kegerator and opened to door to find a reading of 5000 exactly which I am guessing is the maximum that can be detected. I pressed the button on the device which turned off the alarm. I left the door open to allow the CO2 to escape and checked the level some time later and it had again come down to the 900 range. I am quite happy that this low cost detector will do what I want it to do. It is rechargeable like many of the newer Inkbird devices and I will use it to test for leaks in my kegerator each time I put in a new keg or swap out the CO2 tank.
