Easy to install as most of the switch is above the wall box giving lots of room for wiring to bend in. Easy to setup the Tuya smart app is great. I have two of these one on my immersion heater and one on a storage heater (less than 3k) they work well and give you a record of electricity used. With remote access you can turn something on to heat before your return from holiday. A negative is that some wall boxes don’t necessarily work with the shape of the rear of the box so offer it up first before committing to wiring. All in all it seems a nice little unit and worth the money. The maximum power rating is for resistive loads. As the main switch is a good old fashioned relay (goes with a reassuring click) I’m sure inductive or capacitive loads will reduce the life of the contacts.

Purchased to auto manage outside lighting, the installation was straight forward and the connection to my network via the Smart Life app was ridiculously easy. The lights were set up as a Smart Life scene and set to switch on at sunset and off at midnight. UPDATE The spur has been running for over a month now and hasn’t missed a beat, no internet drop outs, no reconnection failures if I turn the internet off and it turns on and off perfectly with the settings on my Smart Life scene. Recommended.

I bought two of these to control recently installed towel rails. The upstairs bathroom towel rail control is in the landing behind a big heavy bookcase, and the down stairs loo has been wired into the boiler cupboard. Both controls being generally inaccessible without moving furniture. These Wifi spurs do the trick brilliantly, easy to set up once the Tuyu app is installed, in my case to my ipad, but also works on smart phones. The added bonus is that they can be voice controlled via Amazon Alexa. Very impressive!

Really handy and allows me to turn my heating on via the Alexa app, Smartlife app, Alexa voice commands or set schedules in the Smartlife app. Took all of 15 minutes to have installed and is soooo convenient! Excellent!!

I have fitted this smart looking WIFI switch as a replacement for a switch fused connection unit which is in a traditional wall mounted 35mm metal box. Its used to control an outside light by the front porch and some Xmas lights. Installation was not straightforward however. Its a very tight fit in the box. The existing top & bottom metal screw tabs had to be removed with a hacksaw. Once done there was plenty of room at the back of box for the wiring, The earth terminal is a tad too small imo. Why is not same size as for L and N terminals ? After this the installation was easy. There were infuriating issues connecting WIFI to home network using the SmartLife app. It took me about 3 attempts! So I would say setup was easy BUT not straightforward. A lot of guesswork was required! Finally however on a more positive note it does look good on the wall, it works and I'm pleased with it.

Most immersion heaters are rated at 3kw and will draw 13amps of continuous current. Because immersion heaters are powered on for so long, cheaper smart switches really intended for light circuits should not be used. This has Double-Pole Isolation: This is a vital UK safety standard for water heaters. It means when you turn the switch off, it physically cuts both the Live and Neutral wires completely, separating the water tank safely from your home's mains electricity. It also features a Replaceable Fuse so that if the immersion heater ever develops a fault, the fuse pops instantly to protect the house wiring. Note this unit does not include the back box and you need a deep back box for heat dissipation. Happy with purchase. Works very well a d connected to my SmartHome and Alexa apps.

Worst product, not even 6 months in use and this broken. The system says on but the electricity has not passed on to the immersion heater.I was waiting for hot water after turning the switch through alexa and after 30 mins there is no hot water, finally found that the switch is showing as on but the electricity is not passed on to the heater. very worst experience. Dont buy it, the product is not worth it.

(Only just fitted so can’t confirm long-term reliability or concerns raised in previous reviews, will update accordingly). However, initial experience is excellent. I have a 2nd immersion on my tank, the main heating/hot water being from an air-source pump. In August last year, I suddenly had no hot water, which led to finding out the 2nd immersion had been on 24/7 since I moved in 11mths previously (yes, ££ ouch!). It seems the fuse had blown in the socket but the plumber corrected the main system settings so I left the 2nd immersion switched off. Bought the Chosry to replace the original switch so I can have the 2nd as a back up to boost the main system but also be able to switch off remotely when I realise I’ve left it on. I was concerned about the wiring but once I got my head round the difference between in/out on the new switch and load/supply on the old one, the transfer was easy and painless. I was lucky it was the same size so just meant connecting the cables then the long screws provided fixed it to the original back box without needing to rerun any cables. WiFi connected immediately (already had Tuya app for a smart plug-strip) and also linked straight to Alexa. Now I can set key times for it to come on, and use voice commands on Alexa to boost/switch off without having to fumble around in the airing cupboard. Not sure if the immersion actually works still, but at least I now know it’s the immersion itself rather than the fuse spur, and once that’s fixed I’ll have hotter water, only when I need it :) (2nd pic is the top view of the original wiring, I marked the cables in/out before disconnecting so I knew where to connect them in the new switch)
