Is this product suitable for the casting/moulding of mine & my Daughters hands? How long would it take, using the activator?

I would use alginate to mould things like hands. There are special kits on Amazon to do this and also loads of videos on YouTube. Alginate is completely safe. Latex is really smelly and takes a long time to dry.

No it is white when you first apply and turns yellowish when cured

How quick does it set?

Each coat takes about an hour. Depending what you are using it for you may need 10-15 coats. Then takes about 3 days to cure. If making a mold you will also need thickened.

What is the raito with the latex and thicknesser ?

Between 1% and 5% - though tbh closer to the 5% perhaps even a bit more - that's about 1 to 20 or 50ml per litre
