Impact - Pure Allulose Sweetener - Zero Calorie Sugar Substitute - 1 lb

I’m trying this new sugar substitute for the first time, and I’m actually liking it! It tastes just like regular sugar, without any aftertaste or weird feeling on my tongue. Unlike other sugar substitutes I’ve tried, it doesn’t leave any unpleasant taste or effects. I think this could be a game-changer for me with Cuban coffee. I can’t drink that without making the foam on top, which is made with sugar. I also love that I can pulse this stuff in my blender and make it powdered for other recipes, like whipped cream. I didn’t have any stomach upset or any other negative effects. I also don’t test my glucose or monitor my keytones to see if it affected anything there. Overall, I think it’s a great value for the price. The texture is exactly like real sugar, and it has the same color. I really like this stuff! I made a bunch of keto locarb friendly pumpkin desserts, and it looks like sugar when you see it in a bowl next to all the other ingredients. My husband couldn’t tell the difference and actually commented to me that I was cheating on my diet again. After he tried all the things I made with the stuff and made him cheat on his diet, I told him well, the sugar wasn’t cheating! Halloween actually was enjoyed as we enjoyed some pumpkin goodies thanks to this stuff.

Seems to be good stuff. It’s very sweet tasting and an extremely fine powder - even just slowly closing the baggie will release a small cloud of powder as does slowly pouring it into a mixing bowl. The sugar bakes well into banana bread; carrot cake; etc. There is a slight aftertaste similar to stevia but I’ll take that over the spike in glucose levels! No sugar alcohols either so no “loose gut” Lol. I’ll just keep my eyes on the scientific research regarding allulose as it is the newest of the plant-based sugar alternatives.

A good deal for my favorite sugar alternative

I use this in place of sugar. It is a bit expensive so I don't use it all the time. Have used it successfully in baking. It is less sweet which is also fine for most purposes. Participates in the Maillard reaction so it does brown. Seems to not spike my parents blood sugar.

Allulose is the only sugar substitute I use now, since I am strictly Keto. I have had to learn how much to use, since it is quite different from those in the packs. Now I have my friends bumming my Allulose until they get theirs. What I like best is that there is NO AFTERTASTE, which I get with all the others. It has great solubility and I believe I will present my Doc with a lower A1C because of it.

I think I have a problem with tasting artificial sweeteners. Now I just use honey.

Taste is good. No after taste.

not good for hot drinks, bitter taste maybe it can work for cookies and cake baking
