SOG Unisex Evac Sling Backpack CP1001B Black, 18 L (pack of 1)

I’ve been using this backpack for almost a year. It is perfect for carrying all my EDC gear. I wear it while riding my motorcycle, or traveling through an airport. Very rugged. It has been dropped, thrown, sat on, and stuffed to almost bursting. No rips, tears, loose seams, or busted zippers. The plastic zipper pulls make getting into it very easy. It’s compact, but not too compact. I can fit a lot of stuff in it, AND keep it organized. Great pouches and pockets for all my knives, pens, sunglasses, iPad/laptop, note pads, chargers, earphones, etc... 10/10 I would buy again, or another SOG backpack if I needed a bigger one. Very well made.

Took a chance on this bag and couldn’t be happier. Perfect size for a weeks trip if you pack light and best of all it can be used/carried as a duffel bag. The material is solid and the layout of the bag is functional and well thought out.

This is my first SOG backpack but not my last! I have several Maxpedition and for a more urban environment I like the sog better. For camping I'll stick with the maxpedition (1,000d vs 500d). It turned out bigger than I thought it would be so I'll use it as a weekend and overnight bag. The quality is great, sticked well, good zippers and pulls. The only negative thing would be if your using this primarily as a duffle bag, (the shoulder straps tuck away) you'll find the handle on top to be pretty small. I could barely fit my hand in. Also the padding in the handle is minimal. it seems like it was added last minute. Since I'll be using this mostly as a backpack It doesn't bother me enough to return it. My next SOG will be the 24 liter.

This is an AWESOME pack. Not to mention all the features, it is stitched to perfection. And has amazing overall quality. I do wish it came in camo colors, but it’s really a great buy - love the hardshell covered compartment on top and I easily fit my 17” laptop and all my other gear in it easily (with room to spare). Really like how the backpacking waist and shoulder straps can be tucked away and you can carry it like a duffel bag. Great product. Awesome Buy!

It's a decent sling backpack. The materials and stitching are not quite as good as Maxpedition or Osprey and are worth 3 to 3.5 stars in my opinion. But the ability to fit a 15" laptop (Asus N56, 38.0 x 25.5 x 2.73 ~3.40 cm) into the laptop compartment is definitely worth an extra star.
