Works perfectly, while it does charge somewhat slow (5-6 hrs for high capacity AA), it does a great job keeping the batteries cool. For those wondering what its Maximum USB power input requirement is, it's 5v - 2A (10 watts). I attached the manual that shows all the charging specs.

Great batteries that charge up really nice and last a long time

Connects to your supplied USB power source so speed of charge depends a bit on what you connect it to. I used 2.1 A 5v USB supply, and it had no problems charging 8 AA batteries in acceptable time for me. I generally charge stuff over night so rate of charge is no problem for me. Although it took no where that long to charge.

It will charge the batteries ok, to a full charge, but the batteries don't last as long as a new one will. So I have stop charging batteries and buy new one.

I purchased this charger a year and a half ago and have used it very little. I noticed just a couple of months ago that my Tenergy batteries weren’t charging very well and I thought it was possibly the batteries, which was disappointing. However, I thought I would try to charge the batteries using a Panasonic charger, and much to my surprise, the batteries charged up just fine using the Panasonic. It seems a shame that the Tenergy charger would stop working after such a short period of time in contrast to the Panasonic charger I used which I’ve had for 8 to 10 years.

After reading about the highly rated charger and batteries in the New York Times' Wirecutter review, I made the plunge -- and I'm so glad I did. Yes, it takes a while for the batteries to recharge but they're infinitely faster than the cheapo Ikea version I bought and rarely used years ago. I'm saving myself money and helping to save the environment!
