This line is hard to cut with nail clippers or scissors that aren't either serrated, sharp, or preferably both. I was expecting twisted line similar to a miniature version of sisal rope. Absolutely underestimated the quality on that. This line in a 4 strand is four strands braided together with each individual strand being similar to the twisted line I had in mind. The picture illustrates that an individual strand could easily have 30 to 60 fairly continuous strands within it. These are not plant fiber strands limited to a few inches or feet in length. These are Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene or material roughly 10-15 times as strong as a similar weight of steel cable.If you were wondering whether 4 or even 9 strands is better than monofilament Nylon you can quit wondering. 4 strands at 60lbs really works out to about 200 strands twisted into 4 twines and then braided into a single line with very smooth casting and reeling characteristics.Now the downside... The knots in this stuff tend to slide along the line if pressured to do so. You may need to learn a few new knots to compensate for how slick and pliable this line is.
