Really great innovative 2.5gbe switch!
Writing this review after several weeks of using this switch as my network backbone in my home. What caught my eye about this switch was that it had static link aggregation without being a managed switch AND all ports were 2.5gb. This was important for me as I have one of my NAS' which supports dual 1gb output, which I wanted to take advantage of...but without the cost of a managed switch.Enter the BrosTrend 2.5gbe switch. I saw that it had a toggle which had not only a VLAN mode, but also Static Link Aggregation! So I purchased it and took a chance. Here are some of my personal observations after using the switch for a few weeks as the primary backbone for my home network:1. My router didn't notify me of any added devices once I added this switch (no backdoors, can't be too careful!). Always a good sign.2. All 2.5gb devices were recognized and lit up green, slower 1000/100/10 devices have a blinking orange. I am used to LED lights highlighting network activity, but I notice on this switch the LEDs just blink on and off constantly to indicate that the connection is active and nothing else (e.g., won't blink faster for higher throughput).3. Throughput is as advertised. However I found out that the static link aggregation in general is a bit of a gimmick. In theory it is supposed to give you 2 gigabits of combined speed with two gigabit ports, but in point-to-point transfers it will still only give you a gigabit. Link Ag is supposed to help when different devices are simultaneously connected to the NAS and in such a scenario it will provide up to an aggregate of 2 gigabits overall to the various devices (which it determines using a hashing algorithm). I tried to download items to two devices using the same NAS and unfortunately only got 500 MBPS on each. I could be doing something wrong, but good to keep in mind.4. Switch runs warm, 106 degrees Fahrenheit at its warmest part of the switch using an IR thermometer. The switch resides in my network cabinet (which has other electronics but has vents for allowing the heat to escape). No issues with stability however at all thus far. I am using all 8 ports, 3 on 2.5gb connections and the rest on normal 1gb connections. Will update this review if the switch condition changes/becomes unstable.5. Good looking switch, very sharp design and a well-designed metal box. Good weight feels like a very quality build. Box and paperwork it came in were really well done for a lesser-known company.Bottom Line: Very unique and fast switch and excellent price point. It truly does everything as advertised. At this price, I really cannot complain of anything as it is doing its job wonderfully thus far. Great switch and happy with the purchase!

Great part of a network upgrade
I bought these switches because I was upgrading my home internet as part of my house remodel. They were the best value for the money for a 2.5GBs switch. I also liked that two of the ports could be tied together to get faster throughput, and the front botton to shift among 3 working modes of the switch. I replaced my Xfinity gateway with their latest gateway, replaced my splitters with Keliiyo Coaxial Cable Splitters, installed new goCOAX MoCA 2.5GbE adapters and connected them to BrosTrend 8-Port 2.5Gbs switches via ARISKEEN Cat 8 Ethernet cables, and the switches are connected to my computer with ARISKEEN Cat 8 Ethernet cables. My nextwork speed has gone from 350Mbps to 850Mbps according to the Xfinity speed test. My network has been humming along for over two months, with no issues. I would recommend these switches.

Great switch!
Picked this up on sale and I am glad I did. It is well built, great options and worked perfect right out of the box. Very happy with its performance and price.

Works just fine
This switch is working just fine - plug and play. The only thing about it I don't like is that it can only be wall mounted in the horizontal position - the cutouts on the back will not work for vertical mounting.

SWEET DEALS!
Today I must say, this item offers fast communications distributed across all ports, especially when changing Android boxes with a reduced latency.

They don't make em like they used to
I was not expecting the set up and transfer speeds to be so plug and play. I have two 2.5Gbps capable systems and I wanted to upgrade my network lifestyle. I upgraded my cable modem and router, and this BrosTrend network switch was a great find for the price to complete my 2.5Gbps network. It is full metal construction, available grounding terminal, warm to the touch during operation (not hot), and it didn't skip a beat during my transfer tests. My screenshot is a 55GB file that took under 4 minutes over a simple home network. I've seen several YT videos where achieving the "maximum" speed was not easy. There was a lot of setup and it just didn't work. I was worried about it, but luckily I had ZERO issues and there was nothing to setup. The screenshot was from my first transfer test. Sometimes they make things so much better than they used to that I am glad they don't make em like they used to!The packaging was on par with other brand name companies. The size is considerably larger than a traditional 1Gbps switch. The chassis is heavy enough that it doesn't feel cheap, but I think most of the weight is from the exterior box, not heatsinks. The chassis has a place for a small fan that was not included. I am not sure if a fan is warranted for 2.5Gbps. I do like that it has a barrel style plug with a thin cable. It makes cable management a lot easier than a normal C13 PC power cords. It's more than enough for home use. The ports are all sturdy. I didn't feel any wiggling or loose plugs in any of the ports. Plus the extra features of LAN aggregation is unheard of under $100 with eight full 2.5 Gbps ports.Get it if you're on the fence but you want or need one. I hadn't heard of BrosTrend before this purchase and I am thrilled it's not a cheap knockoff like 90% of amazon. Strong recommendation from me.

Great switch!
I could not figure out why my internet speed was so slow, I ultimately figured out that my network switch was several years old and could not handle the higher speeds, after installing this switch, my speeds are where they should have been! Great switch!

Works great, confirmed 2.5G throughput
I have purchased 3x of these and they work great, especially form the price. I have 2.G adapter on my MacBook Pro, I have tested thoughput at 2.5G. I have my 6E AP's hanging off these and I have seen up to 2G WiFi. Great purchase!
