Amazing for printing smooth and glossy surfaces
I love this build plate. I bought two of them, because only one side is smooth. The other side is the same PEI sheet that the printer comes with. I find it strange that this product is not even offered for sale on Ankerโs own website. I didnโt know of its existence until someone told me about it. Iโm very happy with my purchase. So far I have only printed PETG on it and I have not needed to use any glue stick or anything to help the prints stick. In fact, they stick very well to this build surface. The only thing I would change about this product is to make both sides smooth. If you have an AnkerMake printer you already have a PEI build sheet. If youโre buying this one itโs because you want the flat build surface, so why not make both sides flat?

The smooth side is excellent
I purchased this plate for the smooth side and I am very impressed, printed PLA and PTG so far no glue, the adhesion is outstanding, after cools down print detaches easily, highly recommended.

Print with no texture, for flawless prints
This is the printplat that should have come with the M5. There are some parts that need better adhesion, but rather than print on a textured plate, I'd prefer to use some adhesion promotors. I'm very happy with the plate.

Should have been the default plate
Greatly improved printing. If something needs to be printed on it's side, you no longer have a texture there to distract from a smooth print.

Big fan of Anker and M5 - But not a fan of this product!
I am a pretty big fan of the Anker m5 3d printer, it works well and while it's not without flaws, I feel Anker has really tried thier best to deliver the product they promised (Despite the recent unfortunate news that they've abandoned plans for the multi-color printing feature!). I like their normal magnetic steel plates, but was hoping to get something with a "flatter" surface for prints that I'd like to finish with ironing (so both sides match). This product however, failed on the very first print. I had recently installed the all-metal hotend (great product, highly reccomend!) so this was a "hotter than normal" print, at 280~ degrees, but the bed was only set to 80 and the print was pretty basic (lawn gnome plant-marker for wife, you know, the usual stuff us old people do). print itself went fairly well, other than it probably should have been a bit hotter (a very challenging filliment I'm currently trying to hammer down settings for), but upon removal even little purge-tower spots and homing marks, just peeled right up. I can easily put a soft scraper on this stuff and flake it up off the plate, and it sticks to my print so then I have to scrape it off my print. After a couple more tries it only got worse, so I eventually just gave up and went back to my normal plates. I have a couple of these, so it kind of sucks they didn't work out, I'm afraid to flip them upside down because the paint will likely flake and stick into the magnetic bed, so they are just kind of wasted for me at the moment. Maybe some-day they un-opened one will come in handy for a cold-temp print that won't stick, but by then I will have probably found a better solution (still a few more plate materials out there I'd like to test). Anyhow - no shame on you Anker, for all I know there's an expectation of no more than 250 degrees on these and I just wasn't aware, but I have since tried looking into the issue since, and I can't really find any solid info on this type of plate, so I thought I'd share some images and offer this as a heads-up to people using the product to try and keep the temps @ or below 250~ (maybe even lower?) or you will end up with a plate like the one in my pictures!

Plate as expected
Plate works wonders. Easy to use, Print stays down on it.
