(Pack of 4) Megabond 25ml Clear 5 Minute Rapid Cure Epoxy Resin Adhesive Glue Syringe

I have used this two part adhesive for several years now. Mainly for attaching Viking Bearded Axe heads to wooden shafts with wooden wedges. It's clear, strong and does a great job. Hardening times are easily varied according to ambient temperature. Although to achieve full hardness, I leave the joint between 12 and 24 hours.

I needed a bunch of this 2 part epoxy but didn't want to shell the money required to buy multiple packs of brands like Gorilla. Fortunately, these ones work great and the epoxy is very strong. The only issue I've had is that the epoxy side seems to get clogged up and you need to needle out the tip before pushing it out or you'll get disproportionate amounts of hardener to resin and it won't cure properly. Make sure you mix it up enough and this stuff works just great. Wash your hands after.

Reading the previous reviews I was unsure about the dispenser, so I read the tiny print on the back of the tube and religiously followed the instructions about snapping off the nozzle cap withdrawing the plunger to remove air bubbles preventing uneven dispensing of glue/hardener, and pulling back the plunger after dispensing to prevent nozzle blocking. I also cleaned the nozzles and cap between uses. So far having used it about 7 or 8 times, I haven't had a problem. I used it to glue a heavy, smashed glass lampshade, kintsugi style, adding mica to the mix. It has performed very well, flows and runs slightly until the four-minute mark and then becomes progressively harder. My only observation is that the nozzles are quite short and the cap system can twist on either way, which necessitates thorough cleaning each time.

IT said it was rapid, and it is. It was perfect for a project that I had and I did not want to wait a day for it to cure. I was able to use it, wait 5 minutes and move on to the next task. It had held well, no issues. I am glad that i got the multi pack as I will be using more of this in the future. And when I am down to my last tube I will be buying more.

Found, for the price a perfectly good glue, sticks well and mixed right sets within the5/6 minutes. What is not so good on this product, is the dispenser, not a good system for sealing the dispenser after use or keeping the two tubes clean and clear. Second time I used it, didnt dispense any hardener which I didnt realise and it therefore never set properly. You have to be very careful to make sure both dispensing tubes are clear before you squeeze anything out so I tend to waste some product ensuring this is so. Done right, it is perfect. Fails on the dispensing compared to others I have used including Gorillas version and others. Redesign the applicator please.

Have bought these a couple of and will do-so again. The price is great and very competitive

I've use this only once so far and that was to glue the scales back on an expensive kitchen knife after a bit of restoration work. It says 5 minutes to cure. Mine took much longer than this. Still tacky to the touch after 30 minutes. Took until the next day before I was happy it has fully cured. I used less than 10ml. Mixed it vigorously for 90 seconds. I was a little concerned about it curing before I got it into place with the 5 minute claim. I needent have worried. It was 10 - 15 minutes before it showed signs of setting. I was in doors but it was a little cold, under 20Deg C. It may set faster in warm weather. When it did set the bond it solid. There is little or no adhesive visible on the knife handle. Maybe a hair line at the join. I have since had the knife through the dishwasher a number of times with no ill effects.
