Cascading Leaves

Beautiful shades of copper, different shapes of leaves, full length. Very nice! Can’t wait for rain 🌧️!

This rain chain is beautiful. I had the downspout moved to this side of the garage so that I could capture more water in the front yard mulch. I am catching hundreds of gallons now which is a huge blessing in my drought prone northern California climate. It did take some fiddling to get the leaves to lay flat and I buried the end in my woodchips and staked it with some irrigation staples.

No one should ever buy a rain chain unless they know what it is and what it does. A rain chain does not replace a downspout. It is primarily a decorative item that provides a soothing effect while watching the rain dribble down the links--or, in this case, beautiful copper leaves. This "chain" requires a bit more attention than standard link chains in that the leaves must be kept as vertical as possible to avoid unwanted splashing. This is easily done during installation by simple centering the loops from which the leaves hang, and perhaps bending the tab on the leaf to assure it remains vertical. I strongly suggest purchasing the Stanwood Rain Chain Copper Gutter Adaptor for Rain Chain Installation to assure that the flow of water draining from the area above your chain is captured as completely as possible and directed down the chain. For the most part, small chains like this will not be effective in a downpour and are meant to direct a light to medium flow of water. If your chain will be subject to affects of the wind, I would further recommend the Stanwood Rain Chain Copper Basin Bowl for Rain Chain , which adds weight to the bottom of the chain and can also help to avoid erosion of the soil if that is a potential problem. Finally, if you are worried about returning defective or problematic merchandise, always look for "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com." I've never had a problem yet.

I split them in half one on each side of the gutter they are pretty but they are almost black at this point so wondering if they are all copper! The cup is good but you have to fiddle with the leaves a bit- otherwise hopefully it will do the job-

We get many compliments about how beautiful this is. Gorgeous to watch rain trickle down. Easy to install, takes a little flexing of things to make rain gutter come right down in to center of this, but was overall easy to install.
