So versatile
This tool is awesome. The multiple cutting surfaces and micro adjustments allow for use with multiple cables. I use it for HDPE coated RG108 twisted cable and it allows for cutting through multiple layers quickly and precisely.

My fav cable stripper.
My fav cable stripper. I've used a few others, and ordered more of these for my lab and home, and my guys. Easy to adjust, just need enough to score and not completely cut the jacket, than bend jacket to finish the cut,, and no cutting the insulation of the wires under the jacket. Very fine adjustment for the blade. Very repeatable.

Great buy!
Paladin Tools 1119 Combo UTP and Coax SureStrip Cutter Stripper Paladin tool works great. I have done terminations on and off over the last 15 years and this is a real time saver. Easy to get setup and easy to use. Great buy for the quality of the product.

Seriously over rated! no value for money
The only good feature on this tool is the thumbscrew to adjust the cutting depth when removing shielding on Cat5e cable.. Other than that.. I can't understand what anyone else sees in this. The "cutter" simply doesn't have enough force to cut through anything. Maybe if you wanted to cut through one or two wires, but to cut through all 8 wires at the same time it just takes too much effort! And I'm not a small guy, I am well over 200lbs! Squeezing this thing just takes too much effort to get through cable. You're better off investing in an all-in-one crimper/cutter.. To be fair i haven't tried it on coax cable.. but for cat5.. massive fail!

Great Product
I feel like I've been doing myself a disservice by not buying this tool sooner. It's not cheap for just being plastic and a razor, but it does a wonderful job in doing what it's supposed to. Mine was already configured to cut cat5 and it makes stripping a snap. I gave the wire cutter a test drive on spare cat5 and it did struggle to cut it just a little, but did the job. That's why it got 4 stars. You won't be disappointed if you're looking for a quick stripper (not the kind you see at the club).

Good for stripping jackets
I've been trying to pare down on the amount of tools I need for wiring jobs, and the idea of having a cutter and a CAT/coax stripper in one tool was appealing. Well, I'm still using wire snips and a coax stripper, because this thing is terrible at those. I use the same Cat6 riser cable for most of my jobs, so it's nice to be able to set it for that and it scores the jacket correctly every time. I check the strands most of the time (I'm paranoid) but I haven't nicked one yet. But that's where my compliments end. This thing sucks at its other functions. I shouldn't be surprised. The cutting blade is super thin and flimsy. It's less substantial than a utility knife blade. It gets through ethernet kind of ok, but not very ergonomically. I'd probably only do that if I was terminating one or two cables. But for an entire home or office there's no way. Your hand would fall off. And I tried a couple of times to cut through quad-shield RG6 - big mistake. It took two tries each time, while rotating the cable, with tons of pressure. And then the blade was nicked. Totally useless for that. I don't think it's unreasonable to try, since there's a RG6 stripper on the tool. Speaking of which... While cutting CAT6 is doable (occasional), the RG6 stripper is simply useless. I can't rely on it. I've gotten it to reliably score/cut a total of two times. Every other time I tried it would completely screw up. It would do this weird thing where the tool would sort of corkscrew around the end of the cable, moving along the wire. It basically left a ton of meat on the cable and didn't do the job. Completely useless. So here I am, with this CAT6 cable stripper, a wire cutter, a small pair of scissors, and a coax stripper (by Klein). Four tools I hoped would be replaced by one, but no dice.

Great pair of wire strippers
I've had this stripper for 2 years now, and gone through a lot of Cat6 (and an occasional RG6)... and still love it. I primarily use the stripping function of the tool, and haven't used the cutting function much (I use my Clauss 18087 Shears for most of my cutting - highly recommended as well). These are super easy to use, and very adjustable. When doing a lot of rj-45 connections I use them to untwist the pairs as well... saving my fingers a lot of irritation. I just feed a twisted pair in from beside the hinge, just over the first hump of the blue block, and close the tool down - pinching the pair between the hump and the plastic. Then just spin the tool until it is untwisted. Might be just a little slower, but it makes my life better. I highly recommend this stripper, if you are looking to strip data cables of any type. You won't be disappointed.

A very useful, simple
A very useful, simple, easy and fast tool. makes a perfect cuts and strips well, you can regulate the stripper to avoid cutting the wires inside. I have only tried with ethternet cables. The tool is presented with a hard plastic garment factory sealed and perfectly received. I recommend 100%.
