lumen/W for A+ and A++?

Not quite sure what you are asking here, but I assume it is comparing brightness in some way. There are many conversion charts on the internet should you type your question in to google, but here are the 2 main types of bulb compared. The charts dont all agree totally, but give you an idea. (Lumens is the amount of brightness) An original 60 watt incandescent bulb would be equivalent to 900 or more lumens you need to buy a 10W LED bulb. If you were using a compact flourescent bulb instead of a incandescent then the equivalent would have been 12 watts An original 100w incandescent bulb is equivalent to a 14 watt LED bulb and is around 1500 lumens. If you were using compact flourescent tubes then they would have been 20 watt. I bought the 14w LED in these bulbs as I was replacing 20w compact flourescent. These are brighter and I am very happy with them. The A+ and A++ varies between manufacturers packaging. JUst look at the wattage you were burning before compared to the wattage you will be burning with an LED bulb and you will see that you will be saving money by burning less electricity.

can you use it in an outside security light

In an enclosed enclosure , if you can exclude mositure then yes. But these are indoor lights so don't expect a lot of light.

It says it is and is not dimable....which is it?
