Atomic does not work
Everything was good, but the atomic did not work. I have other atomic clocks elsewhere in the house and they work. Do not know why this did not. Returned.

This clock is always right
This clock runs on 3 AA batteries. It has both an analog and digital display. The analog display is for the time, the digital display is for the date. The hands of the analog display glow in the dark. It also has a settable alarm with a snooze button on the top if you want to use it as an alarm clock. When you first turn it on, the digital display shows Friday, January 1st and the analog clock hands start moving. The clock will automatically set itself to the correct time and day. It uses the NIST transmitted date and time signal to set the date and time. This process can take up to 20 minutes, but once it is set, you don’t have to worry about it being wrong. Adjustments can be made for time zone (Pacific time is the default) once the time is set automatically. If you adjust the digital time, the analog hands automatically move to the correct time. This is especially good for older people who may have trouble figuring out how to set the digital clock. Since it runs on batteries, it isn’t affected by power outages. It’s pretty cool to watch it acquire the correct date and automatically move the hands to the correct time.

DOA. Would not set clock.
We are in a strong signal area to receive the atomic time broadcast from Colorado but this clock was a total fail. We made multiple attempts for the clock to set time. Placed near windows facing west. Still no success. We have several atomic clocks in the house and they have no problem receiving the signal every night. I would not recommend this product.

So Simple to SET & FORGET. Great Addition to Our Night Table.
This is the best addition to our night table since we added bottles of refreshing Crystal Geyser Sparkling Mineral Water (Lime Flavor). In fact, it's far better. It's one thing to wake up with a dry mouth. It's far worse to wake up groggy, not knowing the time or perhaps even the date or day of the week. The "DayClock Atomic Clock with Analog Time and Digital Display for Day and Date" is so easy to activate. This is unlike other atomic clocks we've used, where initial activation required fiddling through nonintuitive programming to set time display type, time, month, date, day, region of the country, and possibly other entries. Then, when the battery died or daylight saving ended/began, it was back to fiddling with the clock. This clock requires putting three AA batteries in the back, placing it on a table, and then letting it stay there for up to 20 minutes while it acquires a broadcast signal and sets the clock. Our setting is Pacific Standard Time (with Daylight Saving Time), which is fortunately the default. If you are in a different time zone, you'll need to access the settings and select your time zone from a list. Still easy-peasy.The Atomic DayClock User Manuel is short because the clock does almost all of the work for you.Because the clock works off batteries instead of being wired to electrical power, it operates on low power and has a soft display. This means that you need to be no more than 6 to ten feet away from the clock to see the day and date. Also, if you wake up in the middle of the night in a dark room, you won't be able to read the clock without turning on a light. Apparently, there are instructions to brighten the display on the Digital DayClock website. I don't plan to brighten the display; I prefer having the clock in a darker mode and extending the life of the batteries.Overall, I'd rate the clock at 4.5 stars, rounding up to 5.UPDATE:After I submitted the above review, the clock failed. I was unable to reset it. I contacted DayClocks directly by email and informed them of my experience. (Contact information is provided by DayClocks.) They promptly sent me a replacement along with a prepaid USPS label for returning the original clock. So far, the replacement is performing flawlessly. I had to lower the star-rating due mainly to this inconvenience. If I were able to rate the company's customer service, I'd give them a solid five stars for their kindness and quick response.

TIME IS ALWAYS CORRECT
We really like this analog atomic clock. You don't see many clocks like this. We have it hanging on our wall so we can tell the time, date, and day of the week, at a glance. The only thing that would have been better is if there was a back light on the date display. It is a little hard to see if the light doesn't shine just right. The clock was very easy to set up. It was interesting to watch the hands go around until it reached the right time. This clock even has an alarm with it. We are very pleased with this clock and we can be assured that we have the correct time (as long as our batteries are good).

Just didnt work for our prefernces
Liked it had a clock w/face. Although too dark n hard to see unless straight on especially area of day date. Glass has a glare making it hard to read..otherwise we would have liked it
