Q: What is the largest round top I can put on this? Looking to make a really big lazy susan for my dining table.

Hello, the lazy suzan has 3 main parts: the top, the bearings and the base. For stability, the base should be at least half as big abs the top abd the bearings should be half as big as the base. Following this formula, I would make the base 12" and the top 24". I hope my explanation was adequate; if it was, I would appreciate a helpful answer vote. Thank you!

Q: Would this be suitable for a Murphy bed?

No it is to light duty. It makes a nice lazy susan though. I wouldn’t put any heavy load on it.

Q: What type and size mounting screws do I need please?

I didn't use this for a lazy Susan. I used it to make a spin table for painting cabinet doors and used wood glue to secure it to platform boards.

Q: Can this be suspended from a ceiling?

It could be as long as there isn’t much weight on it.
