Precious Cat Ultra Cat Litter, 8.16 kg

This is THE best cat litter ever, bar none! I have owned male cats for over 20 years and had never had an issue with a cat peeing indoors until my female cat had kittens and we decided to keep the male one. He was a NIGHTMARE and kept peeing repeatedly in 2 areas, he was literally going there every day and I tried everything on the market to clean the area, then I read an article about changing the cat litter. Again, I tried every brand I coud find and it made no difference at all....I really was at the end of my tether until I saw a you tube video from someone with the same problem recommending Dr Elsey's. OK it is more expensive than your average bag of litter but I was prepared to try anything so I bought a bag, that was 2 weeks ago and the kitten hasn't peed indoors since we changed! I used the whole bag in one go so it was nice and deep and scoop out the 'balls' of urine twice a day as recommended. We have not needed to add or change the litter at all yet - there is no smell, no dust and virtually no mess, it's FANTASTIC. I cannot believe how good this stuff is and would recommend it to anyone. The only very minor drawback is that the cat's can track it a bit, I solved this by laying a small towel in front of the tray to catch any bits stuck in their feet as they exit the tray.

For the past two years since I brought my female kitten home, she has refused to use her litter box. I originally thought it might be the litter so tried just about everything you can possibly try. I took her to the vet who was convinced it must be an aversion to her litter tray due to her constant diarrhea however after solving her tummy troubles -she still kept on defecating outside of her litter box (sometimes in the lounge much to my horror). I even enlisted the help of a cat-psychologist who suggested I use seven(!) litter trays to ensure there was no where left for her to go on the bathroom floor. I honestly was at my wits end as she's such a lovely cat but picking up poop isn't fun for anyone. I decided there must be some sort of product to help lure her into her tray and that's when I finally found Dr Elsey's attracting litter. I immediately ordered some and within hours of putting it out, my cat finally used her litter tray!! A miracle worker is what I call this stuff. I can't recommend it enough. My other male cat has even decided to bin his trays (filled with Catsan Natural Clumping) and started using Dr Elsey's. Unlike some, I haven't found it dusty at all. The tracking is much better than anything else I've used (my cats are long-haired) and it clumps so well! I haven't had any issues with it sticking at all as I use a very sturdy pooper scooper (BasicForm Metal Cat Litter Scoop, also from Amazon) which is very durable. Honestly, even if it did create a mess, the fact is my cat actually uses it so I don't care how troublesome it might have been, but I actually smile now when I go to clean the trays as it's so easy! It's been over a week now and I'm over the moon. Who knew such a small thing could radically change my world?! For anyone with a cat who avoids their litter box - this product is definitely worth the money, just get it already!

Well I had consultation with my two cats, they tell me its OK but Tigerino Canadian clay is much smoother and has better clamping. Still, if they're out of supply on Tigerino, this is a good alternative.

Very fine, accepted by my cat and clumps well. It is easy to remove the damp clumps. No smell. Best I’ve tried. Using a suitable mat helps stops the litter spreading too far.

This had good reviews which is why I ordered it, but I was disappointed. Positive - practically dust free and it clumped most of the time. Unfortunately it didn’t always clump and when wet it stuck to the bottom of the litter tray like concrete. It was really heavy and overpriced.

Bought a few bags to test which would work better with a litter robot and this one was the best. Very little dust and clumps really well and does not stick that much to the robot structure. Very pleased and will buy again.

So clumpy it turned into clay and stuck to the bottom of the litter tray and when the kitty walked out with it on her feet, it left clay streaks on the floor that have taken multiple mops to get off. Ended up throwing out half of the bag after a couple weeks of giving it a shot. Would not recommend!

Dr. Elsey's kitty litter is the best in my opinion. It clumps well so it is easy to clean the box. It isn't dusty and it doesn't have a strong odour. My cat seems to like it and doesn't mind digging in it. I have purchased many types of kitty litter but I keep coming back to this one.

This is THE BEST cat litter I've found in 30 years of having cats. I've tried them all! The clumping, the non clumping, the natural, the silica crystals. Trust me, you just go nose blind! This litter right here Dr. Elsey's Ultra is absolutely THE BEST for odor control! I had a friend visit whom I hadn't seen in over 10 years, and he said he'd never know I had cats had he not seen them. I have an open floor plan, the litter boxes are in one corner of the large open house. We actually have 2 litter boxes because there are 3 cats and for now 2 is fine, that's what we have room for in that one corner available for litter boxes. No odor. It is absolutely lower dust than all the other litters I've tried! Low tracking! It wouldn't track in my house at all except my new kitten likes to play in the lower side box and kick litter out in all directions. Before she came along, there were no issues with litter tracking anywhere. I had a small rug under the bigger box and that was it. Very nice. It's definitely harder clumping than any other litter I've used. Makes scooping really easy. I waste less litter because I can do the extra shake or two with the scoop to get the loose litter out and not have to worry about the clump breaking apart. I seriously wish I'd have found this litter so many years ago. I found it almost 2 years ago I think. And I won't use anything else as long as they're making this. I usually get the 40 lb bags, I did get the 18 once when money was a bit tight. I also buy from other sources when it's on sale. I know my delivery guys don't like bringing it but I'm so glad to get it delivered! Sometimes there are free food samples or free collars in sealed bags in the litter bag. My cats enjoy these food sample treats, shhhh don't tell them it's not really treats lol. This litter just really is amazing! I highly recommend it! If you've got tub from one of the other brands, keep it to put this litter in. Otherwise, I keep my bags in a closet so the kitten doesn't dig to the bottom throwing all the litter onto the floor. Ask me how I know that's what happens lol. Very good litter. Very good price for what you get and how well it works and how long it lasts. I recommend it to everyone I know, and even people I don't know. All the cat groups, I mention this litter. It really is good. You won't regret it.

After having used brand like this one Dr Elseys, Amazons Basic, Pet Pattern, Petaholic and others after 2 years of experimenting with two Persian cats I found PRTAHOLIC ACTIVE CARBON LITTER to be the best. Prtaholic stays dry throughout and lasts for months with only small add ons. I compared this Dr Elseys side by side in a separate box for months with Petaholic and this did not perform well. It used to get very sticky and Difficult to scoop, used to get stuck just like wet mud on the roads, absorption power is not that good either, I did not find active carbon in this hence prtaholic did a better job than all of the other brands at keeping the smell in check. Dr Elseys litter is double the price and outright bad. From my experience use Petaholic or atleast try once so that you may see the difference yourself.
