How does this alarm work to protect my campsite?

It creates an invisible security perimeter using a trip wire. When triggered, it fires a loud 12-gauge blank (or compatible primer), producing a sudden, powerful sound and flash that effectively deters curious wildlife and alerts you instantly.

Is it really effective against bears or large animals?

Yes. Bears are naturally cautious of unexpected loud noises and flashes. This alarm is designed to startle and deter them away from your secured area before they get close, adding a crucial early-warning layer to your safety practices.

Is it complicated to set up? What's included?

Not at all! It's designed for quick setup. Each alarm comes with mounting screws and an extension chain (e.g., 2 screws & 1 chain per unit), allowing you to easily install it on trees, posts, or gates in minutes. No need to hunt for extra parts.

What does it use to make the sound? Do I need special ammo?

It is primarily designed for standard, readily available 12-gauge blanks or flares. For added versatility, it also works with 308 blanks, 209, and .22 primers using the included adapters. (WARNING: NEVER use live ammunition).

How does this offer better value than other alarms?

Beyond its durable build and effective design, we include the essential hardware (screws & chain) for immediate installation. Combined with wide primer compatibility and reusable operation, it provides long-term security and peace of mind.

Mal, bastante mal.

Junk

Absolute garbage, the spring is too weak and the firing pin is isn't pointy, it's flat and loose. I tried multiple different blanks, non if them fired, they barely had a mark on them from the firing pin. This product is a waste of time and metal.
