This is actually a nice cup..What lets it down is the tea strainer...Im drinking loose leaf tea...or that is what it claims...just looks like tea from a burst tea bag...Twinnings....but half the tea leaves filter through and are left either floating on top or has sunk to the bottom..Im a neewbie to tea drinking.....but the loose leaf stuff isnt quite doing it for me and this isnt helping..maybe I need to drink a different tea ..cup keeps the tea nice and warm tho....

Perfect! This is not the only glass teacup out there - I've owned many over the years... BUT the problem with the glass tea filters is usually that they have tiny slits, that easily get clogged (So then the tea you put in, doesn't filter into the cup). This filter has holes, that are bigger. No clogging!Because it's all glass, you get to watch the tea diffuse, and especially with tea from fresh flowers etc, it's just beautiful to look at. The lid fits well and is easy to put on and take off. The lid has a flat part at the top so you can turn it upside down and use it as a saucer for the filter. All parts are super easy and quick to clean.If you need a gift for a (herbal) tea lover, get them this.I've been looking for a cup like this for years and wasted money on ones that didn't work well (despite shopping at supposed tea specialty stores. I don't know why everyone is selling the "slit" ones when this cup exists)
