We have a tall, 23kg beagle who had injured his back ACL. This brace helped provide enough support to allow for his injury to heal. Despite not getting full mobility yet (due to now suspected arthritis) we tend to keep using the brace to just help his back legs. Our first purchase was so successful, we bought the other leg support as well to help with that leg too which was not as severe. 4 stars rather than 5 in this case purely because the top strap starts to slide back other his butt quite easily so you need to keep pulling it up, otherwise it will be around his ankles.

At the start of a very long road ahead and possible surgery for Will. Torn Cruciate Ligament. Multiple injections, medication and alternative therapies daily for several weeks. This brace has helped him tremendously and Wills Veterinary Surgeon was impressed on the design and support it was giving to help Wills pain and aid his walking which is very limited atm. I trust my Vets opinion. Sizing is not accurate but common sense with knowledge of your breed of dog should help you decide which brace to purchase. I purchased one size down to the actual measurements of Will and it fits perfectly. Cost ? Expensive, but if it helps.

We ordered this product for our Dalmation which required knee support for repairing ligament damage. The product provided zero support the joint. It was loose and could not be tightened around the leg to provide the required support. Complete waste of money. Whats more when I actioned the return I discovered that I would have to pay for postage to send it back to the US from the UK . Complete waste of time and money. DONT BUY!

Thought this would be good for a knee injury. Ordered the best size guided by the size chart. It did fit over her leg perfectly and was the right size BUT it simply wasn't long enough to actually cover the knee or offer support. She is a small dog size but it seems the small size is assumed for a short leg?? Had to return as there was no point to her wearing it

Bought this item as my 12 year old dog has a ligament injury. When it arrived I did think it was a little expensive for what it was however it really does seem to help him walk.& gives him the confidence to ‘weight bear ‘ . The size guide was correct & it fits really well . I only use it for short outdoor walks . I would recommend for such use .

This is a good product but unfortunately is lasted less than 12 months. This is only used a few hours a week so shouldn’t really last longer than 10 months. The seek splits behind the knee so gives zero support now

I have a muscular 12 year-old labrador whose left ACL has ruptured, leaving him hopping about on 3 legs. While I make up my mind about expensive surgery, I was looking for something that would help him. I was concerned that, by favouring his right leg almost exclusively, he was putting at risk that leg’s ACL or hip, or his skewed lower back. I put this on him before our walks, and then keep the pace right down. In that way he walks almost normally, using both rear legs. Clearly the brace helps keep the knee in place, and reduces his discomfort. The brace itself is quite easy to apply, and the strap does not impede a male dog’s urination. I just have to steer him to the right of trees and lampposts so he doesn’t cock his healthy leg thereby putting his weight on his injured leg. I have little confidence that the damage will fix itself, although there are more complex braces available that might help do the trick on smaller & lighter pooches.

I kinda want to give this a 3.5 stars as I’m unsure on how effective it is in stabilizing my pups knees. I decided on 4 stars because I may have just bought a size too big. Regardless, the design needs improvement especially if you have a male dog. My pup did get chaffing on his shaft after a couple of days. I tried putting bubble wrap on that area but it still didn’t help, so I ended up really McGyvering it. Material and overall design is good. It did not slide off in my dog’s case. I like the neoprene as it’s soft and does give support but the key is that it needs to be taut. His braces were baggy around his knees so i cinched it up with some sewing thread. You can probably see the cinching in the foto. To help with chaffing. I cut the velcro tabs off altogether and re-rigged it. Instead of going under and over, I just kept it on the top side. And since he needed braces on both legs, I secured them both together from the top. Then I tied that part to his harness. I like to believe that these modifications is better protecting his luxating patellas as well as providing more comfort as we wait for surgery. He is an extremely hyperactive dog and doesn’t seem too bothered with it on. Hope this review was helpful. Update: So I did buy a size too big, but after sewing it tighter AND cutting it shorter, it finally helped my pup’s grade 3 luxation and helped it so significantly. He was in so much pain with the constant dislocation of his knee and injured liagment, but within several hours of wearing it, it really gave his confidence and smile back. He now wants to do zoomies (which I’m mortified about). It is quite incredible considering he was just yelping and barely moving the night before. The key is fit!! If it’s tight enough and stays secure, it will work wonders by keeping the knees stabilized. Best of luck!

Brace works great! Our girl has a torn ACL and had troubles walking - put this brace on and she walked in and out by herself. Still limping but definitely gave her more support.
