They are a birthday gift for my son for September 27 so they are still in the box.

Does the anc work while wired?

Haven’t tried, but I see no reason it shouldn’t. That’s for input from a playback device and should not change the mode the headphones are otherwise in.

Can you disable earcup touch function?

There are no touch functions. You javé to use bottons to control

What is the oval hole on the inside of the left ear cover? And do you remove the plastic tape over it?

That’s the auto-start/stop playback sensor. Yes, remove the “tape.”
