Once removed from bottle ... does the seal break as in regular caps?

Yes, the seal does break just like regular caps. They may not break if the cap is placed on a bottle that is not the correct size, with the mouth being either too small in diameter of too small in height.

Do they fit 20 oz. soda btls, i.e. Ginger Ale (brown liquor) or Sprite? Water bottles not the best, as alcohol bubbles when shaken, water does not.

I don't know, but they are so cheap. Just buy them. I took them on carnival, no one shook my bottles, I carried them on in a bag, they only put them through the scanner. There are shampoo bottles you can use to put brown alcohol in. I bought them on Amazon. They were awesome too.

No, as soon as you use it the plastic safety seal is broken just like on a normal soda bottle.

Will these fit glass bottles...such as a 1/2 pint whiskey bottle?

I am not sure. I used them on plastic bottles.
