Awesome Product for Motorcycles
Love it. I recently had the Akaso Brave 4 which I really liked as well. It was easy to use and being small and lightweight was perfect for mounting to my motorycle. I hit a deer, and the Brave 4 was completely destroyed. The Brave 7 is a really nice upgrade without the high price of a GoPro. It is much easier to use than the Brave 4 with the touch screen and updated software. Mine is the updated version 2.0, so the internal mic is also much better than the original. It is easy to use and the Akaso app works well. I have never owned a GoPro, but this works perfectly for its intended purpose. The remote control and accessory kit is a nice addition to this package for the price. It comes with a charger, 2 batteries, remote control and mounting accessories. I do wish it came standard with the waterproof case. You need to purchase that separately. Even though the the camera has an IPX rating, I still prefer to have it in a case while riding on my motorcycle. The plastic cage that comes with the camera is pretty flimsy, and the hinge that locks the camera into the case already broke. However, this is not a deal breaker, as I would want something more substantial on my motorycle anyway. An aluminum/metal cage would be really nice to have in this combo kit. The camera itself is very well made and seems solid and durable. The video quality is very good, and I really like how easy it is to change settings. The upgraded stabalization works really well on my bike. Excellent video quality for the price. I am a novice with action cameras, but the quality is really good. If you're a professional blogger, you may notice a small difference in video quality, but if you your looking for a quality action camera for your adventures, look no further. Great product at a very reasonable price. I am very pleased with the purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for a quality action camera for road biking, mountain biking or motorcycling. I have no intention of using it under water, so I can't comment on its waterproof capabilities. Great Product.

A good buy with a few issues but worth it
The camera performed well and took great action shots while riding horses and ATVs. However its battery reading was questionable. It would say full battery at night and when I went to film in the morning the battery was significantly lower. Still a great purchase. Remember to format your memory card or you may end up with shorter videos than planned.

Affordable Waterproof Action Cam
I debated between the GoPro Hero and various Akaso models and ended up on realizing I simply needed an affordable action cam that was waterproof, so I went with the Brave 7. I was going on a trip to FL so water was in its future. I ordered a couple 128GB highspeed micrsoSD cards for it as well. It came well packaged and with a ton of accessories. The documentation, which you get online, is precise and well written. Tip: don’t throw away the foam cover that it comes with, it can be used for wind noise reduction. The model is well reviewed on other platforms so I was able to get enough information on how to set it up and the best settings for it. The touch screen is easy to use and is responsive. I turned off the wind noise reduction feature, with it on, audio just cut in and out and it did not seem to work. The image stabilization worked great, I really liked how I didn’t need a gimble for it at all. On the FL trip I used it to film walking on the beach, in the city, playing in the ocean, ( and yes its waterproof, at least down a couple feet), driving in a car mounted on the windshield, and to take a couple pictures. I ended up on 2.7k/30fps as a good resolution for shooting most video. The best video you are going to get out of it will be in good sunlight, outdoors. It is after all, an action camera meant to be used outdoors 😊 The batteries seemed to last a decent while, we’ll see how the longevity of them will be over time. The only small gripe I have is the SD/USB slot door, it’s a bit tricky to get shut, you have to do this push in and slide up maneuver to get it to click back in place. I can only assume its due to the waterproofing material. Its not a huge deal as I don’t take the SD card out super often, its just something you have plan for if you are in a hurry to swap SD cards. I did download the AKASO GO app on my iPhone and it seems to work OK, but I haven’t yet used it extensively yet. The accessories seem to be good, if you need them. The remote control is useful if you have it mounted to like a helmet or somewhere you don’t want to have to constant be hit the record button. It survived the trip and being used in a saltwater ocean without a case, I just made sure to wash it off with cold tap water after each ocean use. It also performed well in 110 degree heat, I just made sure I didn’t use it for hours at a time in that heat, so it didn’t get too hot. The pictures it took, with using the widest angle, were crisp and it was nice to get a wider field of vision than you’d get from a phone. Overall I’d recommend this camera to someone who is looking for a affordable action cam to use for travel in damp and wet environments. I’m happy with it and will continue to use it for my adventures.

NOT True 4K 60FPS But still decent quality and good battery life.
The video quality wasn't too bad, however, it is NOT true 4K and definitely not 60FPS when I had it at that setting. I compared the video to a DJI Osmo Action 4 cam I got and the video was MUCH smoother on the DJI Action 4 with the same settings on each camera to include motion stability turned on. The battery compartment lock closed on a hinge on one end and a clip at the far end of the door versus closing the door then sliding parallel to the camera into a lock. As a result, the middle of the door bulges out a bit and doesn't appear to seal very well which is probably why other reviews had concerns about it not being truly waterproof at even shallow depths. I feel like this is easily fixed by buying an inexpensive waterproof enclosure. The front display isn't touch screen which isn't a big deal and even though that display doesn't indicate whether or not you are currently recording there is a blue blinking light on the top of the camera and on the back to help know when you are recording. Pros: - Battery life was similar to DJI Osmo Action 4 (about 80 minutes of continuous recording) plus this camera came with 2 batteries AND a two-slot USB-C battery charger (DJI didn't come with and external charger and only had 1 battery for $229). - Decent video quality despite not being true 4K - Simple navigation from the rear touch-screen display and Up-Down buttons on the side and overall easy to use (VERY similar to the DJI Osmo Action 4 navigation) - Battery access and memory card access compartments are separate (DJI Action 4 requires you open the battery compartment to get to the memory card which is not accessible while mounted) - Lightweight and compact Cons: - FPS looks pretty choppy at 60 FPS compared to the DJI Osmo Action 4 - Camera gets very warm when running continuously for more than a few minutes at a time (but so does the DJI Osmo Action4) - Battery compartment is not accessible while mounted in the included case (but DJI Action 4 is the same) - Plastic housing seemed cheap and not very sturdy (DJI Action 4 case felt more solid) - Touch screen only on rear of camera This might be decent for a teen shooting some videos for fun but it's not good enough quality for me who plans to use it to capture memories (some under water) while on a cruise to the Bahamas. For about $50-$60 more the DJI Osmo Action 4 has much better video quality.
