Scanning Computer Mouse. High resolution document scanner and mouse in one. ASM076

A Scanning Mouse that serves its purpose well.Having paid a hefty sum (60 pounds), I was half-afraid that I had purchased a poor product. I was prepared for disappointment. Thankfully I looked into Akita brand and its portable scanning products which have a fair reputation.This product being without a review, I thought I'd be the first.My overall impression was that the mouse was far lighter than I expected. Almost as though it contains the bare essentials of an ordinary mouse. The lightness makes it feel rather "cheap." This is deceptive as this light mouse contains all that it needs to perform.The product includes a USB memory stick for the mouse driver (yes you need to install it). So I think you should check if you can download the driver online if you have the latest macbook series. Or a simple USB converter would do.The installation was very simple and I scanned the manual without any issue. The scanning is not entirely smooth and it takes time getting used to. Not for shaky and impatient hands, a warning.The scanning program allows you to edit and save the image. So that's a plus.I have yet to use its function for text recognition (google search) and pdf to word function. I'm quite skeptical it will be perfect, but I'm satisfied with the product and will be using it daily.I hope this review will help you make a better decision with your money.

I had my doubts at first as to whether this would Deliver what it stated but it actually does. I can now scan whole chunks of texts from books/ articles and scan them to the computer with soo much ease

Works well when you get the technique to use it.It also took me a while to work out the best way to use this mousse. It dose a good job now.
