When I tell you this edge control is the end all be all I mean just that! My daughter and I have two different grades of hair so usually I would need to buy two different kinds of edge control. We have experimented with so many brands for nothing to hold us down all day. The day I gave Bask & Lather a try was the day the experimenting permanently ended. This edge control works wonders for us both. Great texture, smells heavenly, and holds extremely well! At first it left a flaky residue but water is the trick. Wiping the residue before applying more fixed that immediately. For my curl pattern and definition less is more, but for my daughter’s I’ve noticed using a little more product held her edges down longer. I love that the ingredients include castor oil which is known for promoting hair health and growth. I am a forever customer and recommend to others every chance I get, BASK & LATHER edge control is that girl!

I love this edge control!! At first, I was very skeptical because I didn’t know how to use it properly. It would leave a white residue on my edges. Once I started adding water while applying the product, it made a huge difference, and it no longer leaves any residue at all. It also lasts a long time and is easy to refresh throughout the day. My biggest tip is to use it with water it works amazingly well!

I contacted the company about a loc butter. I was told they did not have one. I got the edge control for my edges when I pull my hair up. I took it to my hair dresser who suggested trying it as a loc butter. We did. It is great as a loc butter. It holds well. It is not sticky, hard, or flaky. I love it!

Strong hold, but flakes.. it does leave white flakes. But can easily be removed with a wet towel.

I literally have yet to find an edge control better than this one. I am black, and I have naturally curly hair and when I wear my hair natural, it holds down my edges all day! It also holds my edge as well if I straighten my hair or if I wear braids, just like with any product if you keep piling it on every day in the same areas without wiping it or cleansing that area it can lead to having some whiteness or flakes, but that’s if you overload or put too much or if you keep putting it on the same spots on your edges without clearing it off after a little while I like that it is not overly greasy and it’s not sticky although it is red it will not turn your edges red lol it does keep your eggs in place on hot days and for me it’s used best if I wrap my edges or wear a tight headband if I’m going to be working out or going to the gym, I love this stuff and will forever be using it as long as it is being sold!

Best I’ve ever used legit will keep my hair for days if I want it too ! No white stuff , no flakes , don’t dry ya hair , don’t grease it neither it just right !! Literally the best I’ve EVER USED , I will never switch now ! When I say hold I mean HOLD !! Like glue but not glue if that makes sense !! Has a light scent and it’s not bad ! Worth every penny !! I have 3c/4a hair and this did not work for me. I’m going to leave a picture of what my hair looks like as a reference. It held my edges down for the most part but the ends would curl up a bit. This edge control is kinda oily too. It starts off by completely laying your edges down but after a few minutes u start to see the oil and the ends start to curl up. Also after some time it makes your edges look dull and dry. It’s like it’s strong enough to lay your edges down but it doesn’t if that makes any sense. The product isn’t bad but it isn’t good. I will continue my search for edge controls I guess just sucks how expensive this product was. Great ingredients and good amount of product but def not worth the price for how it works.

This is one of my favorite edge control products. I’ve tried many and this one stands at the top. It performs great for its intended purpose, isn’t cakey and doesn’t flake. It also smells really good.

This product leaves pink flakes, I was hoping this will be the product for my 4c hair but not. It’s so expensive too

Don't waste your money buying this edge control.It leaves a horrible white cast and does not lay your edges at all.Very disappointed!!!
