Almost as good as a husband
My situation leading up to the purchase of this blanket is a bit convoluted but bear with me. 4 years ago my beloved husband of almost 40 years passed away. I was very used to his warmth and protection all night long. I had purchased a 100% goose down comforter but hadn’t yet used when Alex died. I felt that goose down was the ultimate in bedding and cold weather clothing (at $500 the comforter was worth it) and I got all my down products from one place. I was a little disappointed because the down was so light but I had appreciated that in the clothing I had so I kept on. Our winters here in the Pacific Northwest are considered mild but for me it is often cold but I don’t mind because I hate the heat. I rarely turn heat on especially in the bedroom. But there were nights when I was a bit cold and opted for heavier pajamas. Over the next 3 years a number of emergencies cropped up (trouble rarely comes in single digits) but by the beginning of 2024 I thought things were stabilized. I had a roommate who was good and I was working toward a calm future. In February IT happened. It being a house fire accidentally started by a guest. We were able to retrieve our phones and purses and my winter down coat. We thought we would be able to go back and get more because the fire was contained in the kitchen. Then we were told that there was asbestos and only certain things could be rescued after cleaning and restoration by the “experts” which I had to pay for. Basically in one day, 40 years of my life were destroyed. And for the most part it was the items that meant the most that couldn’t be saved. Clothing and furniture can be replaced but the small things that represented memories were gone. Also I have several illnesses that have disabled me for a number of years and the fire made my health hit rock bottom. We were finally able to relocate into another apartment and I’m trying to put my life together one day at a time. Getting insurance to pay up isn’t easy especially since they only pay the depreciated cost of each item, not replacement cost. And thus we come to the blanket. For a number of months I haven’t had a warm blanket (there were so many other things that took precedence). I had been sleeping under my down coat (it was ankle length) but being almost 6’ tall it couldn’t cover everything. After receiving one payment related to the restoration of items lost, I decided that a blanket was a necessity. Since I’d been living in pajamas and one pair of ripped jeans I did have to buy some clothing but I took to searching here for bedding. At first I was sure that a down comforter was the only answer but being constrained by cost I decided that an ordinary blanket would possibly work at least until I could afford down. Reviewing what was available I saw the heavy blankets filled with ceramic beads and I was intrigued by this idea I’d never heard of before. As an artist I’ve worked with tiny beads in the creation of jewelry but the entire process of a “heavy” blanket was new to me. However the price was reasonable and I was tired of sleeping underneath my coat and a shawl for warmth. So I ordered. It just arrived today and the weight of it was, at first, was startling. I got the 15# which was best for me and immediately curled up under it. I will update my review after I’ve had a chance to actually sleep under it but my first impression was WOW! I was immediately impressed by how comfortable it was and how it regulated my body heat. I tend to sleep on the hot side even in winter but this blanket didn’t overheat me and it doesn’t feel overly heavy once you get used to it. It really does feel like a gigantic hug and cuddle from a loved one. I just can’t get over how wonderful it feels and I’m looking forward to analyzing my sleep issues in the weeks to come. I do realize that in summer I will probably have to switch to a light cotton quilt but we’ll see what happens then. For now I’d tell everyone out there to try this amazing blanket and see how it feels to be comforted as well as warm. Happy sleeping! UPDATE: A few days later Well I’ve had a chance to sleep under this incredible blanket and what I have to say is WOW!! At first I was a little nervous about the weight because as I’ve said I’m used to down. And the weight was significant for me because I’d forgotten that I can’t tolerate weight on my feet. No matter how cold, I’ll keep my feet uncovered and just wear socks if it’s really frigid. It was too heavy for my feet but I rearranged the blanket so my feet were uncovered and that has made it comfortable. The rest of the weight takes getting used to and I was a little apprehensive but fortunately we’ve been having a cold snap so warmth was needed. My first night I was aware of how comfortable and cozy I felt whenever I woke up (and I wake up a lot) and how quickly I went back to sleep. Not once did I feel chilled or in need of more covers. No matter how cold the room is, the minute you pull the blanket up around your shoulders you feel cuddled and safe. The other thing that’s turned out so well is my cat Jackson. In the fire he lost his bonded mate Jilly-B and wasn’t found himself for 24 hours. He spent a night in the vet hospital and wasn’t found himself fine but he really misses his girl. He wants to sleep with me all the time but wasn’t happy about the bed covers and often went off to sleep with my roommate. When I unfolded this blanket he examined it as only a cat can and decided that it definitely passes inspection. He now sleeps here, kneads the pile making “bread and butter” and has given it the royal cat seal of approval. I haven’t seen him approve of anything this quickly. So all in all I’d have to say this deserves at least 10 stars. FINAL UPDATE: Have had this for a couple of months and things just keep getting better every day. One of the best things I’ve noticed is the absence of my former panic attacks in the morning. I used to wake up terrified and shaking, either from dreams I couldn’t remember or just for no reason. That has stopped completely. It did take me about a week to get used to the weight but it was a pretty minor issue. My only problem (if you want to call it that) is that I tend to sleep in a very cold room. Living in the Pacific Northwest our overnight temps can easily reach freezing or below in winter. Putting the heat on means you have to stay alert to turn it off, no timer, and too much heat plays havoc with my sinuses. I discovered that on those nights that I needed more help with warmth in the bed. So I’m going to try to add either a down blanket or another Wemore Sherpa blanket. I’m sure it will be a problem easily solved.

Sleep like a baby
I absolutely love this, its very cozy and warm with the sherpa lining and the weight helps my anxiety. It's also very large so it covers me neck to toe - which has been harder to find in a weighted blanket due to my height. I slept like a baby. The dogs and cats really love the outer feel of it as well, as a bonus.

Best, affordable weighted blanket!
I bought this for my 17yr old son for Christmas. He absolutely loved it. Says he's never slept so well in his life. I wish I had gotten one for him when he was younger. It appears to be well made, is super soft and love the navy blue color. Great value for the money in my opinion.

Worth the money, double check physical measurements
Great blanket, nice and warm. Good texture to it, I was mildly worried it would be too "silky" to be comfy. My only critism is that it could have been maybe a foot longer and wider but that's at least 50% my fault for not actually using a tape measure to see the given dimensions. Well worth the money.

Soft, Cozy, and the Perfect Weight — I’m Sleeping Like a Rock!
Five stars. This weighted blanket is unbelievably soft — the Sherpa fleece feels like you’re crawling into a cloud, and the texture is so soothing you’ll find yourself reaching for it every night. At 15 lbs it isn’t overwhelmingly heavy; it’s that just-right weight that settles over your body and helps you drift into deeper, calmer sleep. I’m honestly amazed at how comfortable it is. Weighted blankets help because the gentle, even pressure creates what’s called “deep pressure stimulation,” which signals your nervous system to relax. It lowers anxiety, slows your heart rate, and helps your body shift into true rest. This one delivers all of that with a luxurious, soft-as-a-puppy feel. If you want comfort, calm, and fabulous sleep, this blanket is a winner.

warm and soft
Fast delivery, warm and heavy to carry. I bought this so try to help my restless legs syndrome. I would say it helps a little but not enough to go off my medication.

Ever wanted to sleep under something that feels like a 7kg pile of rocks? This is for you. In the best possible way, this blanket has that heavy, calming weight that keeps you properly tucked in. I prefer my rocks in blanket form — soft, warm, and significantly less sharp. The dual-sided sherpa fleece is incredibly cozy, and once you’re under it, you’re not going anywhere in a hurry. Perfect if you enjoy feeling securely pinned to the mattress (in a relaxing way).

This blanket is very cozy, soft to the touch and the weight (15 lbs) is just perfect. After reading other reviews, I did order a little larger than needed just to make sure that there was overhang. All in all, a very good weighted blanket and I would recommend it for sure.
