Carpe Matte Face Primer with SPF 30, Mineral Sunscreen for Oily Skin

I bought this for my daughter, and she absolutely loves it. Living in the South, our heat and humidity can be tough on makeup, but this primer helps everything stay in place much better throughout the day. It’s been especially useful on days she’s in surgery and has to wear a surgical mask for long periods. It helps her makeup hold up better and keeps her skin looking more matte despite the heat and extended mask wear. The added SPF is a nice bonus, making it an easy product to include in her morning routine. If you’re looking for a primer that performs well in hot, humid conditions, this is definitely worth trying.

I have a hard time finding products that actually help with face sweat, especially during Florida heat and workouts. This one honestly made a noticeable difference for me. The texture is very unique. Almost like a light mousse. It feels airy and smooth instead of heavy or greasy. It spreads easily and blends in fast. It gives a fair amount of coverage too. Not full makeup coverage, but enough to even out skin and make it look better overall. My skin looked smoother and less shiny after applying it. The real test was during an outdoor workout. The photos included were taken after being outside for an hour exercising. I was still sweaty, but compared to not using the Carpe primer, it was definitely an improvement. My forehead stayed more controlled and makeup held up better than usual. I also liked that it did not feel thick on my skin. Bonus points because it came packaged in a really pretty box and felt more high-end than expected.

I loved this product but I purchased two and both have had defective pumps. After a few uses the pump just stops working, tons of product left just can’t get it out without sawing the bottle in half.

This works but don't expect magic. I used this on my T zone (oily areas) and use a different primer for the rest of my face bc it did make my under eyes dry and cakey. I still end up a bit oily on the end of the day but atleast It doesn't look like my makeup is almost gone bc my face can get superrrr oily. I guess us oily girls will never find the right remedy 🥲 try it!

I wish it weren't so expensive. But it WORKS. I'm currently in perimenopause, and the sweating is ridiculous. I use this, topped with some loose powder. Stays put all day and I'm no longer dripping sweat in front of clients at work. And because it's lightly tinted, it evens out my skintone without looking like caked-on makeup. My skin looks natural and it's sweat free! I've been using this product for a few years now, and I hope they never stop making it.

I love this product and I’ve used it for years. However, of the last 4 bottles I’ve ordered, 2 seem to have been defective. Nothing comes out after repeated pumps. Is anyone else having this problem? I’d hate to switch products!

Love the product itself! It has such a silky feeling and really does absorb sweat to leave a matte finish. Unfortunately for me, the pump stopped working around my 5th use…

This is the holy Grail of face primers. I have had oily skin my entire life and have searched high and low for different products to help control oil and shine, and this is the only product that truly works. It glides on and keeps my skin shine free throughout the day. I hope they never stop making this product because it is amazing!
