I have okimat 2 motor, cordless raven remote on a l&p adjustable bed. will this unit replace it?

If you have the okimat 2 motor this should replace it, but you will lose the cordless remote. The new unit comes with a corded remote, and if your existing unit has a massage function you will lost the massage with the new unit. That's what happened to me. Honestly, I didn't care about the massage anyway, it never worked well, and this replacement unit is easy to install, 15 minutes.

Is it compatible to the drive medical hospital bed 15030

It isn't compatible with the Whole Bed Up/Down Function. It does work with the Head and Leg Raise.

Can this device be installed and used on a sleep number bed to raise the entire bed?

Yes, it’s excellent fir raise de bed in both side.

what’s the 9volt battery for?

Back up in case you lose power you can flatten the bed out

Head and foot up and down works great.

Works great. Motor went out in our old Select Comfort adjustable base. Could not find replacement so we purchased this. Head and foot up and down works great. There is 1 connected remote. I wish cord were a little longer. It barely reaches because we are now using a pillowtop mattress on this frame. Also please note that it does not have ability for massage function. We are just thrilled to have head and foot up and down ability.
