Thrustmaster Viper TQS Mission Pack: Metal Throttle Quadrant System, Throttle and Control Panel Included, 64 Action Buttons, 6 Axes, Licensed by the U.S. Air Force (Compatible with PC)

Compared to the winwing model, this one is DCS friendly without having to bind every button, switch, and throttle. It does have a slight delay on cold and dark start to go to idle, but works great after. Easy to get used to in VR. It's overkill for war thunder players. Haven't tried MSFS 2020, but I'd imagine the 2024 will benefit.

A very nice throttle of high quality, with buttons of equally high quality. You can really hear and feel when they go in. Nothing has been spared on the Klitén here! You can enjoy, look forward to using this.

Knobs are cheap plastic but work fine. Make sure you turn on “Virtual Switches” as described in manual, other wise half the keybinds won’t work. Only complaint is the hole pattern doesn’t match with cockpits, but I used stick on Velcro and it stays put.

When you rest your hand on the throttle it just fits. All the switches are right there. I worked on the F-16 for many years and it just feels right in your hand. The lower assembly has a lot of switches and knobs all are programable. The gear handle is handy especially with VR. I may print an extension for the zoom lever to make it easier to move, it’s a bit short. There’s a lot more to talk about than I will comment on here. It is an investment and I personally think it’s worth it. Time will tell how well it holds up. It’s not quite the beast the Warthog is but then again it’s for and entirely different aircraft. .

After flying the F-16 in Falcon BMS with the Warthog throttle for 7 years, I finally was able to get a throttle based on the real F-16 one! It took me a day to get used to it, but by the next day, I absolutely loved it. I needed to increase the friction to max, but then I was able to control my airspeed much better. The feel of the stick is amazing, all of the buttons, toggles and dials feel great.Is it worth $500, I don't know, I say it is a little bit over priced, and $400 would be more fair, especially when compared to WinWing. From what others tell me, this throttle is a bit better than WinWings, but WinWings Orion 2 has many more buttons and their F-16 throttle does have a longer movement, which may make it easier to maintain precise air speed. However, I am able to maintain precise airspeed after maxing out the friction, so I have no complaints there.Other things to keep in mind. It needs to be mapped in Falcon BMS, there is a video on you tube going through all of it, but it does take time. Also, the thrustmaster target software is needed to get the landing and warning lights on the panel to work correctly, and I have been having some trouble with that. This is also a big boy, and it needs a strong mount. The Thrustmaster Flying Clamp is working better than I though, but I am going to get a Monster Tech desk mount.I think that this throttle is better than WinWings, and is the best throttle for flying the F-16 in Falcon BMS, and probably in DCS too, though I have yet to really try DCS. If you want realism, and are willing to spend for it, I think this is a must buy.

The media could not be loaded. Purchase the thrustmaster TQS mission pack on 11-10-23. Since then my light to the RWR, landing gear and the led lights next to the gear don't work. Unless you do some trickery in the target software, that you literally need a degree to do so. About 6 months ago I started to notice what was going on in the video I uploaded. Sporadically, whenever I would accelerate or deaccelerate the RDR cursor switch as well as the manual range/uncaged and the antenna elevation dial would activate. It would either cause me to lose the target.I was looking at because the targeting pod would move due to the RDR moving or losing lock on target, because my antenna elevation is decided to change the degrees my radar was looking at. Having dcs being already a difficult game to get with, it doesn't help to add that fear/ anticipation of it happening. I have tried to get into contact with thrustmaster an Amazon, for support not to return, but just to see if there is a way to fix it. As I have learned to like and spen hundreds of hours on it only to be unsuccessful with thrustmaster. They seem only to work from 3:30pm to 6:30pm Tuesday through Saturday Eastern standard time. So no support when needed, I cannot and would not recommend thrustmaster at all. I have the winwing ICP and they rock with customers service. I would recommend any other company besides thrustmaster. I have the warthog joystick, as well as the they're throttle. I will be sell all of them to upgrade to either winwing or VKB or another company. ARE NOT AS OF YET COMPLIANT.IF YOU ARE USING THE T.A.R.G.E.T SOFTWARE WITH YOUR CONTROLLERS, WINDOWS 11 WILL BLOCK KEY DRIVERS FOR THE VIPER PANEL.WHAT'S AFFECTED MOST IS THE LIGHTING CONTROL (LANDING GEAR /PUSH BUTTON BACK LIGHTING ) FOR MSFS.UPON SETUP FOR MSFS YOU MAY NOTICE THAT YOUR LANDING GEAR WILL NOT EXTEND.I'VE MADE A VIDEO TO HELP MAP IN YOUR LANDING GEAR AND LANDING LIGHTS SO THEY ARE FUNCTIONAL.OVERALL BUILD QUALITY AND FUNCTIONALITY ARE GREAT.....HOWEVER, THE CONFLICT WITH THE DRIVERS AND NOT BEING ABLE TO USE THE T.A.R.G.E.T. SOFTWARE DOESN'T MAKE IT 100% FUNCTIONAL. (I CAN'T ATTEST TO THE FUNCTIONALITY IN DCS)HOPEFULLY THERE'S AN UPDATE SOON TO PATCH THESE ISSUES. UNTIL THEN I'LL KEEP THIS AT 3 STARS.
