Love this changing mat! It’s really soft and doesn’t get super cold at night like other changing mats do, which is much nicer for baby. It’s easy to clean and hasn’t stained from yellow newborn poo, which many mats do! I also love how it’s inclined, so if baby pees on the mat during a change it trickles down instead of going all up their back and over themselves!l. The ridge on the sides stops any liquids spilling onto the floor too, which is great. Well worth the money to make night changes and accidents easier!

A well designed item this is great to change baby on as it's not too cold, and easy to keep clean - the surface wipes down well and there are no nooks and crannies. The gentle slope is excellent when baby decides to wee before the new nappy is on as it allows the urine to run away from them. In all an expensive but well made item that should last well.

One of the only disappointing products we’ve bought for our newborn. After 2 weeks of trying to use, we’re calling it a day. It feels like it hasn’t been designed by someone who has a baby - as the mat itself holds to the surface beneath it well, but our baby slides on the angled top. It makes changing impossible and feel slightly dangerous. The raised ‘shnuggle’ logo on the top of the mat also lines perfectly with the baby’s head when changing, so we can’t imagine it’s the most comfortable for her. A real shame as it’s great quality - but definitely just an instagrammable/vanity item for a nursery.

For our first child we got through 2 of the 'classic' plastic changing mats, both of which started to split quite early on and eventually fell apart. They weren't cheap ones and they had seams which collected nasties. For our second baby i didn't want to buy at least another 2 non-recyclable changing mats. I was hesitant to buy a Shnuggle due to the price, but eventually I did and I am pleased that it warrants the price and is a quality product and bigger than i expected (the surface is 39x64cm). It isn't really soft like the classic mats, but it is soft enough. It is sloped but not enough that baby slides down. The edge is high enough to catch wee and the surface wipes very nicely with no seams to trap poo. Yes it is more expensive but based on 3 months use I see no reason why it won't last until my baby outgrows it (I will update if it doesn't!). I've got the Shnuggle bath too, which is another quality product.

Love the mat for its slope to prevent the baby getting covered in wee if they manage to go while the nappy is off. This feature also claims to be good for reflux although haven’t really dealt with that issue personally. The baby always calms down when placed on the mat so I can imagine it is quite comfortable for him. The size and shape are also pleasing to the eye. The mat is however very slippy and the baby slides around on it and there would be an obvious danger of the baby sliding off if not being used on the floor. One of the biggest issues for me is the fact that it stains so easily. It claims to be easy to wipe clean, which it is in the fact that it is not absorbent, but the colour of newborn breastfeed poo is still visible in some spots despite being wiped clean with antibacterial wipes and washing up liquid and water.

I was tasked to get some baby changing mats for our children's nursery and came across this Shnuggle mat. Looked interesting and maybe more durable than the usual ones that last for a short time and then split along the seams. OK it's more expensive than the usual purchases but we don't mind investing in quality. The mat is obviously of much higher quality than the run of the mill mats (can't just work out why it costs what it does though). Lovely the clean and nice and soft. The only issue is that it is very small. OK for babies but toddlers don't fit on the mat and so we have to revert to the oblong ones. Shnuggle could sell a few more units by increasing the length of the mat.

Seit ein Jahr nutzen wir diese Wickelunterlage und wir sind sehr sehr sehr zufrieden damit. Das Kind wächst lang und passt mit einem Jahr immer noch drauf. Unser Hebamme war begeistert weil viele Wickelunterlagen sind breit und nicht lang. Das Geld haben wirklich gelohnt.

The taupe color of this changing mat along with its ease of use makes this a win win. It’s easy to clean, keeps a wriggling baby on the pad, and the curved edges keep in little pee messes when they happen. It’s pretty durable and soft on my child’s head. As a first time mom I’d 100% purchase this again!
