LOVE it
I've used multiple composting bins over the years and this is by far the best. I got the 5L. It's a good size either for the counter or for hanging and it fits the7L compostable bags I already had perfectly. It leaves enough edge to be secure even with the bin full and enough extra to tie off when I toss a load. You could use this without bags, I just like using them for ease of cleaning. The lid is easy on/off and stays put with no sliding around or chance of accidentally falling off. Although I avoid plastic in my life as much as possible, for something like this is it light weight, easy to wash, and doesn't rust through like every metal bin I've used eventually does. Great little device for a good price. THUMBS UP.

Almost perfect. Best bin I’ve ever owned
This is the best compost bin I’ve ever owned. And while I’m probably also saying, “gee I’m an old person getting excited about a compost bin” you probably will too. Like a Dyson cordless, your life just got easier and better.2.6 gallon bags are perfect.Looks good/good materials.Hinges heavy duty and niceSeals nice so none to minimal smellI leave the cabinet hook on the cabinet, then drop this into place for cleaning, then back on the shelf it goes.Seriously almost perfect.Let me know when you get the Next iteration!- Make it a tiny bit smaller- do something to hold the bag top- (optional) handle of something else to lift interior bin- make silicone pull a touch bigger

Great product! Glad I found it.
A great product. Liners are included and fit inside the inner liner. Easy to hang under the sink. Charcoal filter keeps orders neutralized. Lid opens up or comes down in front to easily remove the inner liner. Stainless steel shell looks nice, and inner plastic bucket liner is easy to clean. This is working so much better than my ice cream bucket compost method I’ve used for years. Looks and smells better, easier to clean.

Fits our needs well
We save all our food scraps for the compost pile. We have for some time used an old plastic coffee can on the counter. When it’s full, that material goes into a larger 5-gallon bucket. When that’s full, out to the compost pile..We wanted something more aesthetic than a red coffee can on the counter, which is also difficult to clean with its molded-in crevices. I saw this EKO bin and decided to try it out..It’s very simple and quite light. We only needed the 3L size, to replicate the coffee can’s volume. The handle adds a slight messiness to the look but is actually useful when emptying the bin. It’s a little deformed as it’s very lightweight. You could remove it but you’d have a couple small holes on each side. We set it at the back, relatively hidden..The lid sits on a removable rectangular rim and both seal reasonably well. No smells and no need for carbon filters, which just add to the cost over time. The rim is to capture a plastic bag. We don’t use a bag. The bin is very easy to clean out.The lid has a unique lip, which allows the lid to be hung on the bin when loading it. This ensures you can lift it back into place without either placing the dirty underside on the counter or having to pick it up from the dirty side, if the clean side of the lid is placed down on the counter. I would have preferred the 'handle' to not be sunk into the lid. The pockets fill up with water drops if you have wet hands. It’s more difficult to wipe the water away. 1 Star lost! ☹.There are an included couple of parts to hang the bin off a wall or door. We didn’t use those. A countertop suits us better. We ordered the gray as white will look dirty, the metal one might rust, and the green is 70’s ugly!.$14 is a little pricey for how simple it is but it does the job and works surprisingly well for our particular needs.

Great little bin!
Since my city requires that we now compost, I needed something I could use discreetly in my kitchen as it is a small apartment kitchen. This fits the bill perfectly! I was concerned that there would be odors but after using for several weeks, I have not noticed any. I don't put anything like chicken in there and instead would go to the main compost bin downstairs to dispose. I do use the compostable bags in it so its easy to store and then dispose of scraps.

Insanely good odor control!
Literally a life saver for cleaning my cat box, it’s so good at containing odors I don’t dread coming home from work anymore. Though when you open it you definitely realize just how strong it’s fighting the smells cuz you’ll be hit with it all at once lol. Not sure if the carbon/charcoal filter bit really does anything though, I’d say the air tightness is what does the best at the odor control. Also the two way mechanism for the lid is AMAZING genuinely It’s so convenient. I got this a few weeks ago and just used it for cleaning the cat box and I really needed to leave a review just now because It made me happy.

Decent, but has some design/functionality flaws.
I like the size of this compost bin and bought it to hang on the inside of the cabinet door under my sink. The bin is well made, but the deodorizer feature in the lid does not work well. It is too small. When the bin has scraps in it, the bin sweats with moisture, which has pooled on the bottom of my cabinet. Also, when the bin is moderately full, the weight of it is too much for the two flimsy plastic tabs which have sticky backs to attach them to your cabinet door, and within the first two weeks of use, the plastic tabs bent from the weight of the bin contents and broke off, sending the bin to the floor, spilling out some of the stinky contents. It would be better if this bin came with a very, very thin, but study couple of metal hooks that would fit over the top of the cabinet door and suspend the bin that way. Also, another comment I have is that the inner liner bin has two round grab holes on it for when you lift it out of the exterior metal canister. When the bin is full and heavy, these round grab holes are very uncomfortable on your fingers because of their thin, sharp edges. These should have been designed to be more comfortable to grab for more than a minute. I have to lug my bin down to the basement of my building and the grab holes are sharp and uncomfortable on my fingers during that 2-3 minute trip down to the basement. Otherwise, this is an aesthetically nice looking bin.
