It is a mat made of heavy material that I prefer to use in the bathroom. It absorbs water well. Since it is light coloured, it gets dirty more quickly. If I compare it to normal mats, the only downside is that towel mats absorb water from the feet and take away most of the wetness from the feet. Feet stay wet on this mat.

The media could not be loaded.  This comes well packed and is much lighter in weight than I expected.Its thinner too.There is an information leaflet detailing possible problems one might have with it , where to locate it, how to maintain it.I wanted to put it by our pool so a person getting out, in, out, isn't then walking water all over the place.It should act in exactly the same way as stepping from a bath or shower onto it.I think it will work for that although it does mention not allowing it to be very wet and also in not allowing it to be dried out in sunshine.Considering how often a bath mat is likely to get wet, maybe 3 or 4 times every morning I would think that very wet must mean standing in puddles of water, maybe in a wet room.This does look fairly neat.They give you a tiny little piece of sandpaper to rub it over with, when it starts to show any marks.If you dislike wet bath mats when you aren't the first bather of the day, then this dries remarkably quickly and would eliminate that discomfort.It feels sort of warm to stand on not cold like a slab of stone would.To test it, I poured some water on it and timed how long it took to dry out.You can see the first part in the video where the lower left of the puddle is drying out to nothing .The water does not leave the mat even though it was a big spill which on plain stone would have poured over the edge.The test was rather drastic as you are unlikely to drop that much water on it in your bathroom.It absorbs very fast, maybe 10 seconds for the least puddly bit and its bone dry once its absorbed it.The photo with the cup in the bottom edge is the mat straight out of the box.The 4 picture sequence of the top left corner is literally zero to 10 seconds.The colour of the 'mat' changes a little and becomes a very slightly browner version of itself.Time will tell how well it performs but for now it is fulfilling its intended purpose and I would recommend it for bathroom use over a fabric mat.

This product is not as good as I expected but I think that's more the actual product than this specific item. It does collect and dry water from your feet, but it can't handle much and it's often stays wet.

I really love this bath mat that is made from natural stone and is finished in a marble effect.I got this to go in our en-suite, as it matches the colour and design of the new tiles that we are having installed.I also like that this is an unusual bath mat and not something that you generally see as most bath mats are either fabric or wooden.Being a natural product, you have to be mindful that you need to use it with a degree of caution, as if it is misused, for example, exposed to too high temperatures, soaked in water or dropped, it can warp or crack/break. Once you have it laid in position however, it should be perfectly fine during normal use.The bath mat is actually quick drying after having used it from getting out of the shower or bath, as it has super absorbent pores that soak up surface water.After prolonged use, if the mat becomes dirty or if it loses its absorbency, you can bring it back to life by gently rubbing the surface with the included sandpaper disc, to remove the film that accumulates.I did wonder if the mat would slide around all over the bathroom floor, especially as we have a tiled floor, but the manufacturers have thought about that and have made it non-slip with the inclusion of a non-slip mat in the box; which is great.I think that the mat looks very stylish, has a lovely smooth finish and gives a real sophisticated and expensive addition to the bathroom.I am incredibly pleased with this product, I love that it is something unique and has given a great extra feature for our newly decorated bathroom.Highly recommended.

I was honestly shocked at how good this is compared to the fabric bath mats.It's much more hygienic and can be easily wiped down, in comparison to the fabric ones which will usually get clogged up with dirt.Very effective bath mat, absorbs water, and dries quickly. Very modern - definitely recommend it!

We bought this product to use as a draining board in the kitchen. It started out great but within 4 months the product was becoming mouldy despite following instructions. This is now unusable in a kitchen environment with mould. Really disappointed and would hope for some customer satisfaction.

We have not used this as a bath mat but have instead used it as a drying mat in the kitchen. The instructions were a little off-putting to begin with as there seems to be a lot of things to be wary of, such as warping and staining, so there is a degree of maintenance that you should expect rather than a simple tea towel.Saying that, the mat is attractive and does the job well. We have not doused the mat in excess water for fear of ruining it, and have tried to keep it as clean as possible as stains will soak in. Because it is such an attractive piece, it would be a shame to ruin the look! The product also comes with a small grip mat which I assume is to go underneath to be used as a bath mat. The surface feels abrasive so I don't think anyone would slip on it but personally I may have less confidence standing on it than with a bath mat. If you have uneven flooring just be mindful that this is brittle so even out the floor before using this to stand on.

Mit mehreren Personen im Haushalt die meist am gleichen Tag und zur ähnlichen Uhrzeit duschen gehen, hat es ein normaler Duschvorleger echt schwer. Spätestens nach der zweiten Person hat man ein triefnasses Tuch am Boden liegen, das dann auch nicht mehr seine eigentliche Aufgabe erfüllen kann. Aus diesem Grund war ich nun ganz gespannt auf die absorbierende Steinmatte.Der erste Eindruck war schon einmal ganz gut. Mich stört etwas, dass die Anti-Rutsch Matte nicht unten fest angebracht ist, sondern die Kieselgur Matte einfach nur aufgelegt wird.Die Optik ist definitiv schick und passt sich auch vielen Badeinrichtungen super an. Mit klassischen Naturfarben macht man halt selten etwas falsch.Wer kleinere Kinder hat, sollte etwas darauf Acht geben, wohin man die Steinmatte platziert, denn sie ist doch etwas höher und Kinder könnten darüber stolpern, da sie die Erhöhung vielleicht manchmal oder in Eile nur schlecht einschätzen können.Das Reinigen klappt gut und auch schnell. Entweder man braust die Matte kurz (!!!) ab oder wischt sie mit einem feuchten Lappen ab. Einweichen oder insgesamt viel Wasser kann das Produkt schwächen und letztendlich auch kaputt machen. Es ist nicht darauf ausgelegt in Wasser zu liegen.Wenn man aus der Dusche kommt und sich darauf stellt, merkt man richtig, wie das Wasser angezogen wird. Es fühlt sich fast so an, als würden sich die Fußsohlen leicht festsaugen, aber definitiv nicht in einer negativen Art. Die Feuchtigkeit wird super schnell absorbiert, es bleiben keine Wassertropfen auf dem Material stehen, sondern sofort eingezogen. Nach wenigen Minuten sieht die Matte auch schon wieder ganz normal aus. Nass verfärbt sich die Kieselgur Matte bei uns leicht ins Rötliche, was ja aber schnell wieder verschwindet.Die Matte ist auch keineswegs rutschig, eher das Gegenteil, was besonders meinem Vierjährigen gut gefällt. Er fühlt sich darauf nach dem Duschen immer sehr sicher und bleibt zum Abtrocknen hierauf stehen.Da die Matte auch Umgebungsfeuchtigkeit anzieht, sollte man sie nicht in feuchten Räumen verwenden. Ich denke, dass hierbei nicht die normale Feuchtigkeit eines gut belüfteten Bades gemeint ist, sondern eher eine dauerhafte Feuchtigkeit im RaumSteigt man sehr seitlich nur auf die Matte, hört man bei uns oftmals ein leichtes Knacken oder Knarzen. Dementsprechend gehe ich davon aus, dass sie wohl auch nicht für Personen mit viel Gewicht ausgelegt ist, insbesondere bei sehr einseitiger Belastung. Eine Angabe in Bezug auf ein Höchstgewicht habe ich aber nicht gefunden.

You can refer to the product information page for detailsI will focus on the intended use as a bath matThe idea of having this mat in the bathroom is to not to make a messy paddle of water when someone step out of the shower (which was always the case for me)At first I thought that I would mind the hardness of this mat but actually for the short time that you will be stepping on it you probably won't even feel it and later you will be so thankful that you won't have to be cleaning damp towels from the floorTo test how absorbent this mat is I poured some water on top and waited. It took only a few seconds to get driedIt's also important to note that for the first and consecutive uses there are some instructions that you will have to follow to preserve the lifespan of these productActually this is the only and main reason that, in my opinion, makes this bath mat fairly impractical since you have to air dry it every few days and must avoid direct sunlight plus some other instructions on how to use itI understand that this has nothing to do with the design or the mat itself but with the material is made with (diatomaceous earth) which is precisely what gives the special properties to this bath mat but at the same time, the convenience of water absorption is overshadowed by such a problematic maintenance

Ich konnte im Rahmen eines Produkttests diese Kieselgur Badematte testen. Da ich zuvor noch nie so etwas gesehen hatte, wollte ich daher das Produkt einem Test unterziehen.Die Badematte kommt gut und sicher verpackt bei einem an. Sie ist von Schaumstoff umgeben und ist so vor Stößen geschützt.Mitgeliefert wird eine Anleitung zur Pflege der Matte und ein kleines Stück Schleifpapier. Mehr dazu später.Das Marmormuster der Matte sieht super aus und die Matte wirkt generell sehr hochwertig. Allerdings, ist sie etwas klein, was mir zunächst Bedenken bereitet hat, die sich aber später lösten.Vor der eigentlichen Nutzung war ich neugierig und habe etwas Wasser hinauf geträufelt, welches sofort aufgesogen wurde. Die Matte war danach wieder trocken. Unglaublich.Der Effekt tritt beim Duschen ebenfalls auf. Nichts geht daneben oder muss umständlich später trocknen. Die Matte saugt alles fein säuberlich auf und fertig.Diese einfache "Bedienung" kommt aber zu einem Preis: Der Pflege. Die Anleitung beschreibt genaustens, wie man die Steinmatte zu pflegen hat, was mMn umständlicher als bei einer konventionellen Matte ist.Sollten sich zB Verschmutzungen bilden, so muss oder soll man diese in regelmäßigen Abständen abschleifen. Dies ist natürlich ein gewisser Aufwand.Ob dieser Aufwand einem Wert ist, muss wohl jeder selbst wissen. Persönlich empfinde ich den Mehrwert der Matte dann dich gegeben, weswegen ich sie auch gerne nutze.

Ich habe diese Marmor Badeplatte über das Amazon Vine Programm zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen.Eine solche Matte habe bereits des Öfteren in den sozialen Medien gesehen und musste sie dann auch testen.Man glaubt zuerst nicht das es funktionieren kann und das Wasser tatsächlich einfach so verschwindet.Nun ja.Nach dem duschen habe ich mich also auf die Platte gestellt und sie war patsche nass.Nach etwa 15 Minuten bin ich dann erneut ins Badezimmer gegangen und siehe da, die nassen Stellen die wirklich kleine Pfützen waren sind zu feuchten Flecken geworden.Ich kann mir ganz grob vorstellen mit welchem System das ganze funktioniert aber es ist trotzdem witzig.Die Platte ist dazu noch sehr leicht abwaschbar.Dies ist sehr angenehm im Punkto Hygiene denn ich kann sie auch einfach mit Wasser und etwas Seife abwaschen.Optisch gefällt mir die Platte ebenfalls sehr gut in der Marmor Optik.Ein sehr modernes und praktisches Produkt.
